She is a pure African Sativa! She will go till Christmas :P Last grow I planted some Mr. Goo seeds in early August and pulled them in mid October. They were covered in caterpillars so I am trying some pest stuff this time. Trying Sevin (kills earwigs and big chewing bugs), BT (a bacteria that kills caterpillars by giving them tummy aches), Neem (oily so little bugs like aphids get gooped), and beer in a saucer tocatch moths and other bugs (they get drunk and drown). Mr Goo:

Cheers,
Mo
Very nice Mo.she is looking sweet yum meee lol

I hope that I can be as patient as you and grow a sativa! I know she will be worth it though...I envy your outdoor garden, bet it's your little sanctuary :)
That's funny about the beer lol. I'll have to keep that in mind...wondering if it might work for gnats too :fire:. Crushed a few earlier.

Am I trippin' or do some of the tips of the hairs have slight purplish hues??

Wow Lady, you're going to have plenty of green to smoke :) Can't wait for mine to start budding if they look anything close to yours.
I really hope so, am doing my best to care for them :). I'm confident that your buds will look good too, you teach me a lot after all ;)

Lady J If you need help to test it we'll volunteer
:bigjoint:
Lol I bet...I'll be sure to relay all the details for you though as if you were here

I think I see sort of a purplish red color on the tips of the top bud too. Looks more red to me though :P
I'm glad you're learning from my mistakes lol

Here's my set up for my mother

2 totes
aluminum duct tape
(2x) 3 socket bathroom fixture, one for each side
6 fixture splitters
12 CFLs
12v fan intake
12v fan exhaust
extension cord that's been chopped and rewired for the fixtures
(1x) 12v cell phone plug for the fans (one plug runs both)
Weather stripping around the seal
bent pieces of wire coat hanger for hinges

I can't seem to get the temps permanently under 30 so I haven't used in in over a year

How many CFM are the fans? I found that having 2 exhaust and 1 passive intake was better than having 1 exhaust 1 intake. With 12 CFLs you probably want to look into the 80+ CFM range, the typical PC fan is only 30-40.

Beer will draw gnats, so maybe put it elsewhere, or have ample sticky traps to snag em whilst drunk !

Apparently they keep drinking until they drown! Must be Irish - jk!

I got these traps yesterday:

Along with some other supplies:

I am going to erradicate those pests and make a happy garden :)

I'm with you Mo! Think I'm going to have to go pick up some traps and spray too...thinking about the hot chili spray while still early in flowering.

Yum...spicy buds :) I didn't know you were having trouble with pests Lady.
Well I'm not really having troubles, just have caught a few gnats in the box so want to kill them before they take hold. I kill anything I see on site! lol. I will try beer or some other mixture to draw them to it, and then drown in it. I've gotten rid of gnats in my kitchen by leaving an split onion out on the counter...might try that for the box.

Today marks Week 3 of Flowering. I found some 2700k 40watt CFLs for only 10 bucks when I went to Lowes. Now have two 42watt 6500k, three 40 watt 2700ks, and one 30watt 2700k.

Been having gnats around my plants. They had went away for a while, but as soon as I added more Black Gold to the planter, they came back :wall:. So I also picked up some Insecticidal Soap from Lowes. It's perfectly fine to use during flowering and is organic! Kills them on contact...I tested it out in the bath tub. Little bitch ass gnat didn't stand a chance.

Am noticing that the skunk's buds are noticeably larger than the Sour Kush...but it's not unusual since Skunk is known to be a big yielder and I believe most kush plants have smaller yields. Here are some more pics, both of the bud pics are the Skunk:

I seems like the problem the soil. You may want to try baking it. I heard that works to sterilize it. Even if it kills some microorganisms you still have plenty of organic fertilizer to compensate. Those buds are totally awesome, very very jealous. How tall would you say the girls are?

Yup, I had this problem earlier in the grow with Black Gold. Since a few people said it was good soil, I thought BG would at least deliver a pest free product!Switched to a Happy Frog / Ocean Forest blend for the closet grow. I'm glad you like the buds cloudz :). The girls are around 18 inches tall now.

Lady J...Your girls are looking wonderful...I see a lot of fun comming soon for you,:bigjoint:
Thank you!! I can't wait for the fun times to begin...going to dump the reggo for sexier ladies!

Was talking about the reggo I'm smoking...when I harvest can get rid of it and smoke better buds. Am not growing any reggo, that's Reserva Privada Sour Kush and Seedsman Original Skunk #1 ;)
