In NY, a carry permit is impossible to get.... Even just getting a handgun is hard.. It takes 6 months and now they just changed the laws so it might take longer...
And in the city itself, i dont even think your allowed to own a handgun at all except for a select few.....

Do you realize that the example I used was the Bernard Goetz incident in New York? Where Goetz was prosecuted for violating the gun laws of NYC, and where Goetz was sued into poverty for defending himself.

It's been okay to kill someone in self defense before they kill you pretty much anywhere in the U.S. My home state isnt "stand your ground" but one can still blow someones head off if they are breaking into their home.. Don't attack the NRA, this is just a stupid situation and it seems to me like the guy is guilty of murder.. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. So this man left his property ready for a fight because he felt it was his duty to tell his neighbors how loud they could have their music? He approached with his gun drawn on private property and what authority did he have? Even if a SYG law could apply, it was not his ground to stand. He approached the driveway with a demand. This man is not helping you in a case pro 2nd amendment. He will garner stricter laws, defend this at your peril.

This is Seca's weak attempt to paint SYG laws with a scarlet letter. IF there was an SYG law in existence in TX at the time of this incident (which seems to be a figment of Seca's imagination), this is not an SYG case. Guess what, not everybody who claims SYG is telling the truth, that's why we have cops and courts. This sounds like a pretty clear case of manslaughter.

Normally, I'm don't defend the NRA. I think they compromise too much. I like the GOA, more. But, if what you say is true, I'll have to give NRA props for doing something effective.
