Coco Growers Unite!

How should i go about reporting them into the perlite mixture? Should i mess with the roots at all? Or would u even risk it?

shake that pot gently, shake it till the seedling falls out then gently into a small pot/party cup.. in a week or two do the same thing let the medium dry out a little bit tip the cup and shake it gently until the plant & rootball fall out now it's ready for your bigger pots something like 3 gallon and up.
 
Sounds easy enough, Im gonna let them rest until the g/f goes to work tomorrow then ill bust them out and do that.=D ill keep y'all updated as to now it goes. Thanks for all the replies.

I do have a question though! I am growing just using Canna coco A and B, Rhyz and Cannazym. I have never used any boost products and im just curious as to whether you think it would be worth investing in some now (my hydro shop stock Canna Boost, Advanced Nutrients Big Bud, Dutchmasters Explode) as I have just put a few plants into the flowering room?

O should I wait for a few grows under my belt until I start playing with boosts?

if i was you i would first start with pk13/14 and boost, and a grow after that you start bringing in the big bud ect ect
i strongly suggest you do all the research you can first and then proceed

my seedlings get starting in root riots, ones i see plenty of roots transplant them into very small cups the size of plastic cups, also i soak the coco night before with the nuts and solutions, ones i potted the seedlings i would water in 2 days not letting the coco completely dry out just more then half dry, then water again in 2 days ones the roots have filled the cup up she will suck up the same amount in one day (i hope you get the point), so soon as i have to water every day i repot her into the last pot size, 11L pots,

yeah use rhizotonic throughout the hole veg weeks, 2ml of rhizotonic to 1Liter of water, my roots grow very rapid and im happy with that. i carry on using it in flower keeps the roots happy,

also i hope your checking your ph!! very important, add all the nutes to your water then ph it to 5.8, and then water to your plants, this is how you should be adding your nutes
first add rhizotonic then stir well, add coco A and stir well, add coco B and stir well, check the ph, ph to 5.8, ready for wattering

and start giving her nutes! start at doze 0.5ml of coco a and b to 1liter of water and slowly work you way up, you work your way up by looking at your plant, if they a nice dark green then they are happy with the doze they receiving, ones you spot a little yellowing (light green color) then just up the nutes doze, simple, us more experience growers read our plants and go from there, you will know what i mean ones you had a few grows under your belt

Thanks Nas, I reckon I will go out and get some PK and Boost as you say, Im sure thats a pretty good starting point when it come to flowering boosters and Im sure I will learn a lot! Already I am worrying less about every little thing like I used to! (Kind of) :D

I tought you already was using coco a and b, I never used miricle grow before, but from what I know canna coco a and b are top quality base nutes

Have you been to canna website? You can get a full feeding chart from there, the feeding chart work out great! For first time growers.

I have gone out and got some canna boost as well as the hammerhead 3/4 pk, apparently the mix is superior to the 13/14 mix! But then again I did read that on the Advanced Nutrients website! Thank you all for your advice on the booster :)

The current plants I have in the flowering room have been there for about a week now and I have started to notice brown spots on the lower leaves and they are a little bit dry to the touch. On Canna's website it describes these spots as a potential magnesium deficiency and recommends that I foliar feed with epsom salts.

Have you ever had to do this? I am reading mixed reviews about whether to add to the nute mix during watering or whether to foliar feed! I read somewhere else that adding a mixture of dolomite lime into the medium will help remove the cal/mag deficiency issues usually attached to coco.

Sorry about the brain storm (are we allowed to say that nowadays???) above, just got lots of different info and need help from some people that have it "dialed in" :D

i add 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salts to my 20 litre tub of nutes during the later part of veg and carry on through flower to keep mag topped up.....also i think i said keep your ph between 5.5 - 5.8.............i would assume foliar feed would work too mate..

Thanks del, I am still looking for some but think I have found a place whichI may try later today, otherwise will have to order it online. Just want to sort this issue out before it goes any further!
 
I've read a few guys suggests rather doing foliar with epsom to circumvent haveing excess nutrients in the res.
 
well, I watered my little bastards on monday with some nutes, haven't repotted them or gotten a ph pen yet, however they seem to be slowly growing, and looking a lot better. the new growth looks okay still, and they are a bit bigger but my coco still stays soggy as fuck. im on the fence about replanting them with perlite, or just letting them grow in these pots and doing it next time. I guess another week should give me some indication. do y'all give nutes every watering??

I water with nutes everytime.

.....coco stays wet but holds lots of oxygen............just let it dry a little each time while your seedlings are small to encourage root growth.....and get that ph pen sorted.
