That's sweet. I too always go budget. Not cheap, just budget. The less you spend on gear, the less you spend on meds. I DIY where I can, find used deals, try not to buy repurposed items that carry a high markup. But I do spend where I feel it counts.

Almost always killer deals on grow room setups on craigs list. Guys drop 4-5 grand on a room and give up when they realize the shit don't grow itself or they didn't make 100 grand in 2 months like the guys on TV! Often selling it for 30-50% it's original value.

Buying used certainly allows for more options. If this were me, I'd section-off a ~4.5-5 x 12' area and run 3 x 1K. Galaxy/Quantum ballasts, Sunlight SSII or Blockbuster reflectors, $35 Sylvania lamps. Reflectors on a closed loop with a 6" centrifugal, and the room vented with a 8" centrifugal. 3X8" pipes/ducts as intakes. Pro-Mix, Jack's Classic fertilizer, $3 2gal (10") pots from Walmart.

well this is what ive come up with, just bought 2- 600 watt cool tube xl reflector $450 2-6" inline fans$48, my room is 6x12 not 8x12(finally measured it) and 25-3gal grow bags$10. also i plan on getting another 600.i just got 20- OGkush, 20-Blueberry Kush, and 20-black velvet all for $150.i hope this goes as good as i plan peace out and stay high
