Some doctors do just hand out pills like candy..usually because they themselves are also taking the pills, so they see no issue with it...or they just like the money...one of my friends gets pain pills from a dr near us..he doesn't need pain pills cuz he hurts. He needs the pain pills cuz he is addicted, and that makes him hurt...anyway his dr got busted giving pills to pillheads with no regard for safety and ignoring his oath to do so...so they just arrested his dr this week, so now he is totally effed, because no other dr will see the people that were being seen by that dr, because they are all addicted to pills now and that is all they are coming for, and then the new dr risks getting arrested too...
What kills me are the drs that indiscriminately hand out pills to people that don't know better, so then they get hooked and then when that dr goes under we have a bunch of little old ladies jumping off bridges and such because they are prescribed to take 3 xanax 3 times a day...it is really sad, but I see it happen all the time in my area...some drs don't care at all...all they know is that they get money from the drug companies for writing the scripts and he gets money from the patients for the visits...the issue is when they get medicaid patients addicted to percs when they started coming to you for a cold...lol.
And I suffer from depression so I often see this one...you are waiting to see your Doctor and here is this jackass in a suit with his little rolling suitcase of medical malpractice...so when I go in and talk to my dr. he wants to give me this new answer to all my problems, that he has a lot of samples of to try...because that spinelss heartless drug rep just wheeled in a suitcase of samples..
Our Dr. ends up giving us pills that don't even make sense for what we are going for..like they used to be on a celebrex kick...which is like mega mega ibuprofen...so it can make your stomach bleed and can give you ulcers, and even cause death, but when you go to out doctor he wants to give it to you for everything...even though it is a really high powered anti-inflammatory usually used to help treat rheumatoid arthritis...But if you go for a toothache they try to give you celebrex, pulled muscle, celebrex...stress---celebrex...it doesn't fix everything...I understand that Pfizer or Merck give you a bonus everytime you fling these pills at people, but is it worth stomach bleeding to get relief from a pulled muscle?
