Hydro Vs Soil?

Vindicated...The servers play a huge part of it. I do it security as my daily and the servers that Roll uses are low low quality with almost no encryption. Its a simple DOS attack that keeps hitting the server here and crashes it. If the encryption and setup were done correct it would protect the site from bandwidth attacks. It also makes it bad they are located on US soil and not out of US territory as they used to try and tell users. Photobucket is fine as you can use multi proxies and bogus info and remove your computer stamping before upload and pretty hard to follow back. Wordpress I wouldnt use it as its too easy to chop up.

damn impressive!!! hey what do you think about this guy's rockwool grow? he says he doesnt even flush because he measures his ppms and doesnt use organic. looks pretty impressive but they took his pics down. https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/15030-batch-clones-rockwool.html https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/399206-its-fuct-world.html between you and this guy im really thinking of trying rockwool.

I believe the only time Hydro is better than soil is in regards to Time/Growth Speed. I cannot think of any other advantages.

Time is $. = So anytime money is the motivation people tend to go hydro. For those who believe Quality over Quantity & grow for personal consumption. = Soil preferably organic.

i just joined a web page thats suppose to cater to growers www.cuttingedgecs.com they will show the ordinary grower from dirt to water and their regemin and portfolio so as if a patient is alergic to coconuts, dogs and cats, to whats in their water for people alergic to fish, the purpose is to get a fan base on the flowers and location at were it will be despenced i mean all the growers cant label their meds so the consumer might just buy the same meds just diffrent grower and be disappointed... its just a thought its a local store its being built i donated a few pics but im just a small guy so im looking forward to seeing some real good growing going on its free. DIRT VS WATER thats what they should put on the websight. i guess its free and its to be informative no more wack shit and the patient taking it in the ass. im not shure if it with one t or two www.cuttingedgecs.com

People say soil tastes better, wouldnt a good cure take care of that either way??????????????
nope. im pretty sure curing breaks down chlorophyll and maybe other chemicals. i dont think curing removes micro and macro nutrients which i believe is what gives your that chemical garden dirt fertilizer taste in weed that wasnt flushed or burned too badly during feeding. sometimes even a good flush wont take away the chemical taste. i grew this hydro plant once that was slightly burned. i didnt follow the directions and was supposed to reduce the main fertilizer 10-25% when using supplements. i run clearX a flushing agent for a week. then ran straight ph balanced water for another week. stuff tasted like chemical. had some of it curing for over 6 months and slowly smoked it every once in a great while. every time chemical taste. potency was there though. so from my experience burning a plant can fuck your final taste. even after a good cure and flush. unless there is some other factor im missing.

Understood, however, lets say everything is done right..flush, no burn, cure..ect...could you tell the difference in a taste test?

i say hydro will always be better than soil, it can yield more and can be more potent when compared to soil, you just cant beat that level of control over the variables. but taste really depends on if you flush long enough. i prefer soil because I'm cheap and lazy.

LOL, Nice....I have also herd its somehow more potent!

smoking no, vaping yes. however like i said earlier, i havent tried a whole lot of different people's hydro grows. but so far i could taste at least a hint of fertilizer in all the hydro i have vaped. i dont want to say for sure though because maybe those hydros were not done exactly right and the stuff i tried including my own just isnt good enough yet as far as flavor. thats why i continue to do hydro though along with just liking how the system works. i think the real key to it's speed and yield is your roots are getting so much more oxygen than soil so long as you have an aero system and/or strong air pump and stone.

Pizza you talkin about Al B Fuct? Hes great grower..I like to use rapid rooter plugs to start my clones or seeds in then I sometimes pop them into 4x4 cubes but I have been going with 3x3 cubes with a coco mat in the tray. I used to use the 4x4 rockwool cubes then put them in pots with hydroton which works well in the 4x8 tents as you can move them around. with the coco mat you have like 2 days to position them then the roots grow thru it and they live there then lol. I leave the wrapping on the cubes just ph them in 5.0 water then fling excess water before dropping rapid rooter plug in. I always flush. I use Fox Farm which is mostly organic but I use non organic additives like silica, Humboldts Gravity and snow storm and Bontonicare Sweet. I check ppms daily but I run a clean res last week of flower. I run pure ph water for 2 days then dump that then ph 5.5 water with Genral Hydroponics clearing solution which disolves nutrient salts and draws stored nutes out. Then dump that and run 2 days pure 5.5 ph water 2 days then take down. I find if I dont the buds can sometimes tatse a little harsh when smoked or you get the chemical spark when smoked just little sparks and pops not a clean even burn.

NICE! My rez looks like a jacuzzi. I also just started adding Hygrozyme to my solution and its the biggest increase in growth I have seen yet. Im using GH, Micro, Grow, Bloom, floralisious plus, Liquid Kool Bloom, Hygrozyme and silica 9 days into flower

Great info Fletch....I was looking for a good flush method.

The reason it is more potent is in hydro you dictate exactly the amount of nutes and ph the plants get. In soil especially outdoor you kind of plant it and then guess by trial and erro. In hydro I can tell you in week 4 flower ppm is 1200 ppm or in veg its 1800 ppm . You know exactly how toi maximize the plant so it is at its peak production no battleing nature. You can add co2 and control the humidity and every aspect so your creating a whole man made environment. In soil or outdoor its a bit less controlled.

No problem Marc..at day 2 the water has gone from clear to a bit of green tint as the nitrogen and chlorophyl start to come out. then the clearing solutiion furthers that ad the water gets a green brown tint..By final day water is almost clear again meaning the nutes salts and chlorophyl has been leeched out and just water in the plant system.

Both soil and hydro have their strong/weak points. I use hydro on my indoor plants where getting the most GPW is important, and drip irrigation into soil on my outdoor plants. I also recycle my nutes from inside to use on my outdoor plants. To say one is right and the other is better isn't right. Both have their places.
Also, most growers 'cut their teeth' on soil grows. It's a learning process we need to go through.

Excellent....I have a question for ya...so this is my first grow and its a learning expierience for me. I have 11 plants (trial run) I posted a pic of the plants as of last night a few posts up on this page. I have 3 plants that are about 36" tall and the others are all about 30" what do I do? do I bend them down? I want them to be at the same level of the others so they get equal light right??? is that correct and what should I do?

Great point, I jumped right into hydro. But so far so good....I think
