Marijuana growers wanted

with all the profit and networking questions and your profession, I'm thinking this survey really has something to do with the study of co-offending networks!

We are interested in looking at the careers of growers. This includes networks. I assure you that no deception is being used in this research and we are not working with or for any policing agency. This is a purely academic study and we work hard to remain free from bias. We feel strongly that policy based on fact is better than policy based on conjecture which is why it is important to get information straight from growers, rather than anecdotally from police or media. Please only answer the survey if you feel comfortable doing so.

You can take any of that data and twist it however you want. It's like a statistician in a courtroom. Everything they say is bullshit. With "statistics" I can make 10 people seem to be just about the same as 10000... Statistics isn't even math. It's like the "matrix" of math. It's stupid.

You all forget the power of the mighty dollar, if they prove how much of their precious green paper goes into the Underground Economy I'll wager Cannabis will be legal within the year on the Fed level as quickly as hypocrites are to magically switch views so I says why not?

I change my mind, my computer decided to stop recognizing my wireless during it.. I may be paranoid but that in no way means they aren't out to get me:?

Um, ok -- maybe I missed something here..

..but this is for help with "criminal justice" aka cops in training. Why the fuck would growers wanna help the cops in training better understand how the system works.

What the fuck? Did I wake up on some bizarro weed growers world or something?

Hello,

My colleagues and I are doing a research study on marijuana cultivation. We’re really interested in collecting information about growing marijuana and would like to invite you to take part in the survey.
The survey asks questions about why you enter and leave the trade, your working groups and a little bit about your background and experience with growing. This study looks not only at individuals in North America but we also have similar surveys being conducted in Europe and Australia.

The survey is completely anonymous (your identity will not be known). We are not affiliated with any law enforcement agencies and no information you provide can be linked back to you (IPs are NOT collected).

The survey takes approx. 10 minutes to complete and can be found at: https://www.research.net/s/MGrowerSurvey

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Aili Malm, PhD.

I love you!

I have a very small (read: 1 plant) grow going, and will always keep it small as it's for personal use for a part time smoker. I even debated joining a forum which discusses growing, as I wanted to keep it absolutely private. It's very easy to be traced on the internet. I haven't even told my closest friends that I'm growing. So, I had a quick look, and most of the questions being asked in that survey gave me bad vibes. So even I, with my insignificant 1 plant grow wouldn't consider participating in this survey - and I know there are guys here with big to very big grows going on. Why risk it? I'm with NoGutsGrower on this. Who knows how the info could be used, really?

If you're going to conduct a survey as sensitive as this in a community like this, I really think you need to absolutely clarify what the data will be used for. At the moment, answering this survey would be the equivalent of walking up to a random strange on the street and telling them all about your grow.

Also, it's pretty sad that cannabis growers fall under "criminology" classification. I think 99% of us are just ladies and gents who enjoy the grow and the fruits of our labour. It's not like we prowl in alleyways selling laced heroin.

Easy now lads. researchers collect data, all data can be used for good or ill. honest and straightforward answers will help the understanding of why people grow, deceptive and misleading answers will only fuel hysteria. lack of real science on the cultivation, use and effects of cannabis is the number one tool in the hands of prohibitionists and the DEA. think of all the people you know who are vehemently anti-cannabis, anent they all the cats who have never, and will never even try it? answering the questions pablo escobar style will only load another bullet of misinformation in the riot-gun of the reefer madness crowd.

Consider this, if you have EVER been busted, the cops know you probably have grass on you right now, and might even be growing it. If you have a medical cannabis card, they know you use cannabis and probably grow it. if you have ever sold, supplied or talked about growing cannabis, theres probably quite a few potential squimps at your local hydroponics store, garden shop, head shop, and electrical supply house just waiting for the opportunity to roll over on you for a few bucks or a lighter sentence.

Unless your ninja skills are extreme, or you're the MacGuyver of growing dope, somebody either knows or suspects you have a patch and will rat you out for almost nothing. theres stool pigeons everywhere, and confidential informants (paid snitches) get their lucre in cash, as soon as they drop a name. Maybe you only have a couple plants, but in most jurisdictions they weigh the whole plant, rootball, and dirt included to get your charge, if you grow in containers some even weigh the pots!! a single large plant can net you a charge of cultivating 50 pounds or more, and that my lads is real ass raping prison time anyplace in the country.

Filling out a scientific survey isnt going to have J Edgar Hoover at your door in his party dress, let go of your paranoia and have a smoke.
