Put it this way... When you file a 1040 or 1065 you fill in the blanks on the forms...
No one forces you or looks over the numbers(unless of course you get audited)
Like I say.. It is a big mistake thinking you can out smart them.
Actually, personal taxes aren't legal, and there are many, many former IRS agents and scholars who took the challenge to find the law that says we must pay our personal taxes (for a large reward), and as of yet, none have found this law. Most of the IRS agents who have taken this reward challenge stopped working for the IRS and also stopped paying their taxes. I forget what their group is called, but I just watched a show on it the other day, very interesting. So depending on your income from MMJ and the scope of your business, if you fit into certain criteria, you could actually not file. Again, based on specific criteria.

Usually these specials run in repetitive blocks, if you come across it, definitely well worth the time. Very, very interesting.

At the collective you can donate any amount, regardless of patient count.
we comply with amma regulations which allows for 2.5 oz for each patient and 2.5oz per designated patient for caregivers. giving a maximum of 12.5 for caregivers or 15 if they are a patient as well. not following these guidelines is a great way to get raided. look at azcs...

for what it's worth, it's not clearly worded, but the possession limits would appear to be in place assuming dispensaries are open. for those cultivating, you're also allowed to maintain an uninterrupted supply. maybe not the best defense if you're looking to unload to a club, but if you're authorized to cultivate, you have a valid argument for having over 2.5oz. just sayin.

I'm only passing along the info told to me. As a caregiver collective is not a patient, I assume they circumvent the amount based on that. There is no way to grow precisely what is allowed by law, as such, overflow has to go somewhere. Irieie, how much do you buy a pound for? How much do you sell it for?

i would never buy and sell in such large quantities as that would violate the possession limits as i stated above , but if i hypothetically would then they go for 2800-3500 some go upward of 4000 if it is some really good indoor. the low end you would find the outdoor, mostly from norcal and cut in oct or nov. top shelf indoor goes for 3200 - 3500 usually.

Isis- are you with Elements?
No, I'm not. Friend of mine lives down the street from them, so we went in there to check things out. If you haven't been, it's worth a trip just to get the visual on how they manage things., and to talk to discuss their operation. Since they aren't a dispensary, they aren't allowed to sell directly to mmj patients (from my understanding after talking to 2 workers, though others say different), but they are allowed to exchange, sell, donate (however they phrase it) with other caregivers, thus being a Caregiver Collective. So they have a vending machine that dispenses the medicine. Next to it they have a touch screen that allows you to explore the options within the machine, what each strain does, what is recommended for what, etc. You can get mmj massages, I think you can get medibles, but I'm not clear on how they manage that, as it is usable mmj and both would be considered OTC and since they can't dispense it, OTC medibles seems odd to me. Same with the mmj massage as it is usable within the oils. It'll be interesting to see how things change once the dispensaries are up and running.

Im not clear on the AZ laws when dealing with medibles, topicals and delivery service. Those who make medibles aren't afforded the ability to grow their own product after dispensaries open, from my understanding. I would expect that after a year of the dispensaries being open, the laws will have to account for the many parts of the industry. I just don't clearly see the legal lines for it right now. If anyone has any input on the matter, I'd love to hear it.

AZDOH accounts for about 25,000 mmj card holders statewide currently. That's about 2,000 new card holders per month. With 124 dispensaries, it'll be interesting to see how things move along. I would imagine that the first 2 years of the process we will see many dispensaries closing down for a variety of reasons.

Its not that kind of model. Compassion clubs are places mmj card holders can pay to join and hang out, exchange, etc. Its a caregiver collective. I'm not sure if you have to pay to be a member. I know they offered to sign me up as a caregiver with the state and added a 10% charge, or $20 for that service. That's pretty standard in any biz. Had heard that originally they were asking for a half pound donation to get started, but no one mentioned that to me when I went there in January. I have since heard they don't do that any more. You can work in the place and you hourly rate is based on how many people you are caregiver to. Highest patient count equals highest hourly. It's still a small amount in my opinion. Especially since you have to pay over $1000 for state caregiver status, yearly, to boot! It doesn't seem cost effective. But in the absence of places, I guess they get away with it. They make $100 on every ounce they distribute, claiming expense coverage. I think it's a bit high, but they are still open. I'm not opposed to them making money, just this particular model seems to be a bit lofty.

I went to AZMC the other day.. No fee just sign up sign your waiver saying you arent the fuzz and the rest is history. They have "lows, mediums and top shelf" The Top shelf is really good shit so I didnt complain about the price it was 50 for a 1/8th and 100 for a quad but it was top shelf and worth the penny. I bought a strain called cookies ( OG Kush x Durban Poison x Cherry Kush ) again its worth the top shelf ticket.

Did they only require a MMJ card, or caregiver status? Friend of mine went to one of those places last year, got a few blocks away and was pulled over, then arrested. He got off, but what a pain in the ass. I'll have to check them out.
