fun with banking

Wait... so you have a bank (your wife's) that you like? But you're still complaining?

"I went to taco bell one time and I hated it! But I love McDonalds. I think I'll continue to frequent Taco Bell so I can complain to them how much I hate their food. Smart plan right?"

And yes...free checks is a big deal. They already offer me a free website, they cash my checks for free, they securely hold my money for free, they print out reports for me for free, they send me monthly updates for free, they offer customer service for free, and they give me free check books? That's a lot of free imo. Oh wait, it's not free, they actually PAY ME to receive all of this free stuff.

I get tons of FREE services and pay them nothing... Sounds like a good deal to me. I don't know many other industries that offer anything similar. I'm personally use to paying for both services and products. When's the last time you walked into a walmart and received anything for free other than a headache from the flouros?

What do you think would cost more - a year of FREE banking, or a $150,000 safe? In my opinion the free banking is less expensive and the better deal. And the $150,000 safe still isn't federally insured...

I'd imagine most banks in the US avoid cashing cheques to people without accounts due to the reserve ratio laws.

it's the same reason i would make a lousy golf instructor, i would fix students so that they don't have to come back by giving them the tools to fix their own swing instead of making them dependent on me for swing instruction.
Bullshit! That goes against your political beliefs. Liberals need people to stay dependent on them. You would find a way to charge the rich and give FREE lessons to the poor!

banks cash checks for their customers, right?

i'm happy to pay whatever fee they have, but they literally will not cash a check from the fed gov. to walmart i go.
I thought Walmart was prohibited in the progressive manifesto? Shouldn't you head on over to WholeFoods, or the farmer's market?

I'm not trying to inflame but why do you associate people that like to avoid pesticides on their fruits and veggies with progressives aka commie bastards? Poor nutrition is one of the major economic problems we are facing today. Imagine how much money we would all save if we were not paying as much taxes for healthcare and wasting money on people's poor choices of food. Diabetes, cancer, and heart disease are about to shoot through the roof. Imagine if we didn't ship our food all over the country and waste all that fuel. Farmers markets are where its at. Maybe they are different where you live but our farmers markets are little farms selling their amazing goat cheese and alpaca yarn. Fresh, pesticide free, salad is not progressive.... Diet and politics don't necessarily need to go hand in hand. All imo

I am not progressive but I do like Wholefoods

I have never been to WholeFoods, and I actually like Farmer's market. Unlike you, I WAS trying to inflame, cause it's fun to poke a uterus on occasion.

Now how do Federal Credit Unions work? Are they actually federal or is that like the federal reserve where its just a catchy name?
CU deposits are insured by the NCUA, a federal agency, very similar to deposits in banks. CU's typically do not charge for checking or savings accounts, but as in all things in life some CUs are better than others, so shop around.

Oh, the unintentional irony of this post. :p

Did you publicly humiliate a tired old lady while you were there? That seems to be a popular pass time amongst the progs!

Ahh sorry for messin up your flow.. Try not to get too outrageous because some people who don't know any better may now believe that farmers markets and whole foods are indeed trying to destroy the country lol.

You should check out WholeFoods too if you have one. You will most likely see the most delicious cuts of meat that you have ever seen. They have more than just beef, pork, chicken, and fish too lol. The produce selection is remarkable and the desserts are delicious yet healthy as they can possibly be. They also have a 5-6 aisle salad bar with cold salad to hot soups and chicken. Food for any ethnicity as well

Hey, no problem. I live in a small town so we don't have a WholeFoods anywhere close. Speaking of good butcher departments, have you checked out CostCo, I am impressed by their quality and selection.
