fun with banking

So they just lost out on possible earnings. They didn't lose money and rip you off. You're now mad that the bank that you hate lost money?

Don't you think that if the $5 was worth it to them that they would have different policies?
dude, what don't you get about this?

their policies for years have been acceptable to me, it is their new, different policies that i refuse to accept.

i remember it was something like $1500 to avoid the $10 monthly "service" fee.

i kept on asking what service they were providing, they couldn't tell me. so i made them refund all the fees and close the account, as i was entitled to do (they changed the terms of the account AFTER i signed up for it).
lol. That's a blatant lie. There is not a single service they offer that costs anywhere near that amount.

So instead of finding an alternative you want to complain until they change it? Really? Think that'll happen? Just for you?

that's not a lie, you're just dumb. sorry.

i can show you statements. $10 monthly service fee unless you keep X number of dollars in the account.

you think i'm alone in my frustration with the banks?

lol.

i guess you're the willing victim type, i am more of the assertive consumer type.

I'm a victim of the banks? I have several wellsfargo accounts and I pay no monthly fees, have no crazy amount I need to maintain, get free checks... They pay me money every month. I think you need to take a finances class.

You have no savings account - that either means you have no savings or you're losing money every month. No checking account to me means that you have no legal income :( Kind of sad.

what's sad is that taxpayers like you and me were kind enough to bail them out after they made retard investments, and now they won't even cash a check unless you let them rip you off even more.

anyhoo, enough dicking around, i have a greenhouse to build.

and it's weird that you would say i have no legal income as i am trying to cash a federal tax refund check. you don't see the full retard in that statement?

You haven't once stated how they are "ripping you off" by offering a free service. Too lazy to sign a contract, unable to keep $100 in the bank, but you have no problem buying wood and making a greenhouse. Bravo.

http://www.ehow.com/how_4925877_endorse-over-personal-check.html I do that all the time, ever since vampire doctors went after me. It's really funny since none of them diagnosed something so simple as bipolar. It took me losing all my money first. I went to the county medical since no money qualifies you. In ten minutes of talking to me, without my medical records I was diagnosed. They confirmed with my medical records. What's more funny is the medical industry who makes more money with each visit was dumbfounded. The medical industry who tries to keep visits to a minimum so more are served, figured it out in one visit! That's why I endorse "socialized medicine." Imagine if your cable company worked that way. "What, you wanted to actually watch tv after we installed the cable? That'll be a $100 stupid customer fee for us to come out and deliver the cable box. Would you like a remote too? This is the last time we give advice for free!"

yeah, i tried to sign my check over to her, her bank said no dice.

and i hear you on the medical stuff, too. back when i had insurance that i paid $600 a year for, it was always a month to see a doctor. now that i live the simple life, i go to the local clinic that works on a sliding scale. i always get seen and treated same day (at least the two times i went).

meanwhile, my wife is having some sort of stomach/digestive issue and they just keep feeding her pills that don't do her any good and she has to wait a month for endoscopy/colonoscopy. and she pays out the butt for her health insurance, seeing as how she has a "pre existing condition", anxiety.

it's the same reason i would make a lousy golf instructor, i would fix students so that they don't have to come back by giving them the tools to fix their own swing instead of making them dependent on me for swing instruction.

It isn't like they know how to invest it wisely, so they need to charge fees in order for the execs to be millionaires.
exactly!

really bad timing on the banks' part to start dicking us around after we bailed their asses out from their own bad investments.

They only charge you $10 a month if you make zero deposits/month and have less than $100 in the bank - you can actually transfer the same $10 back and forth between accounts once a month to wave this fee. I understand you have no income, but are you really that broke? As long as you deposit more than 20 checks a year (which I realize might be a long shot for you), the $100 you need to keep in the bank is covered ($5/check @ walmart) and will last for years. And that even comes with free checks...

I just can't believe that I'm the only one Wellsfargo is offering free checking to. My wife has free checking from BofA, is she super special as well?

$100 may be the norm with some accounts, but not with the last one i closed with chase. and now that you remind me, i closed with wells for that stupid transfer thing.

i had savings and checking with them, and had to make a transfer each month to avoid the fee. i would transfer from checking to savings and right back to checking again. i thought it was stupid and i told them so. i showed them how pointless these transfers were and they did not work with me, so i closed the stupid fucking account.

banks do not exist without customers to give them money, they should work for you, not the other way around. call me old-fashioned, i just refuse to play their stupid fucking games.

All of my banks work for me... Wellsfargo checking gives me free checks, wellsfargo savings gives me 3.2% interest, etrade offers up to 5% interest...

I hope you've learned something from this thread - banks aren't the ones screwing you over, you are. Learn to use banks correctly and they pay you, not the other way around. Again, if you can't keep a $100 buffer in an account then don't bitch about paying $5 to cash the one check you receive each year. And yes, it's your job to read the fine print - no one else.

you get free checks? oh, wow. not having to pay the bank to use your own money sounds luxurious, do go on!

and again, it is not a $100 minimum, it was $1500 for chase, which was the last account i closed.

and i could take $99 to my wife's credit union and start an account with no fees, which is how it should work. i'm simply too traumatized by these TBTF banks at the moment.
