Correct! Profit must be had to mantain operation but c'mon. I have thing as outrageous as 90$ a quarter to a patient. So that tells me that the only people caring for anyone is not them. Those F-ing compassion clubs should hold more then marijuana shit if looking to tend to care.

I agree..the true caregivers are far and few between. I'd accept that 10% number as pretty close.

The point is, regardless of how you want to do the math, the people growing for profits are killing the people growing for medicine.
And if they were not growing it? Would the patients be better off? No, wait we need more laws! Lets further codify our abridgment of rights. Maybe all MMJ patients should have to wear a green leaf on their coats? "Papers please"

If weed is so damn dangerous, why the hell do you use it? Its a PLANT, a very healing plant with some pleasant side effects and is non-toxic. Did you hear that? Its a damn plant. Do you care what profit your local nursery or apple farmer makes? Oh, compare to the other medicine manufacturers? I'm sure they are all setup as non-profits with volunteer workers too. For some reason you want to continue the government abridging civil rights and create government mandated servitude as well. You probably would even support higher taxation on this plant then on other plants.

Maybe we need more laws against trolls, they are worse for us then cannabis.

Well if they were not growing it, we would be better off. This would pressure more self sufficiancy.

The day I do not have to pay a group of morons money to place a building on my property will I feel civil rights are back in swing. The day I can grow weed and feel 100% free I will believe we are back on course. The day they outlaw a marriage licence I will believe.

Yes, the patients would be better off. The profiteer CG's are WHY the law is being tightened. We would probably have p2p if it were not for the profiteers.

Cannabis can't be compared to an apple farmer. Apple farming takes acres upon acres. It's a huge operation to run.

A 72 plant grow can be done in a good sized spare bedroom. Every body likes to claim it's so labor intensive and takes so much skill to grow cannabis. It isn't labor intensive at all. I have a 12 plant grow...I spend 5 minutes a day with my plants for the vast majority of the cycle. Yes, re potting days and harvest time take a few days work, but the total Hours work over a 2 month grow is minimal...and 72 plants wouldn't take much more effort. maybe 120 hours of work, over 2 months. That's what? 15 hours per week? woooo tough job. If you are spending more time than that with your plants, you have made growing too complicated. The vast majority of the cycle, all I have to do is water every few days. That's not rocket science. I can get 3 oz per in soil, so a hydro guy should do better.

And no one said it's a dangerous plant. It is medicinal as well. But thinking like yours is what makes it lose credibility as a legit medicinal product.

Profits.... all this comes down to in the end is profits and some people are not happy (looks kind of like Jealousy) I'll run a free med clinic (Time and Knowledge) If someone pony's up for the Bills (C02,Lighting,Nutrients,New Light bulbs "Every" 6 months, New Fans Every other year,Carbon Coal Filter (new) every year,Cleaning supplies,RO/Filter replacements every 6-12 months, Soil & amendments Every week (for perpetual cycle).... list goes on but, it's Easter and it's time to see the family... if wanted I can continue this later..

I don't see how anyone that is not in the Upper Brackets of wealth can afford to do this and still give away meds without "any" compensation. I happen to grow well and people recognize it and are "{willing}" to pay.... Is this meaning I'm a bad person/Drug dealer? I never even asked anyone to be on my card... I was my own caregiver then others wanted to join the dank show. So, where exactly would you say I stand then?

No one ever said a good cg shouldn't make some profit. It's the amount of profit that is in question.

I'm well aware of the federal government. I'm also aware of how they are going about "medical" busts..they are going after the profiteers and those who flaunt. Not many cases of the feds jumping on a little guy...unless he's rubbing their nose in it.

More Laws! You must be a legislator or something. Just let people grow their plants in peace.

If it was fully legalized you would not have to worry about the profit due to competition and no incarceration risk priced into the product. The quality would also go up due to market pressures and legitimate businesses pushing out the outlaw. Just remove every single law ever written that mentions hemp, cannabis, or marihuana. Let existing agricultural, manufacturing, and taxation regulations apply just like to any other business.

P.S. If you want to add a single law that says no sales to minors that's fine, but no banning use by minors with parental consent.

Yeah right, wishful thinking. The CoA didn't whip us for being bad boys, they killed P2P because they hate all things mmj and they know that commerce is how things get done in capitalist economies. They know not many people can afford to be charitable.

If you put in 120 hours of work into a grow, (somehow I have a feeling you're underestimating how much work has gone into this, not counting trimming or setup or the learning curve, ec.) for you to make what you'd make at Burger King (minimum wage, 7.15/hour) you need to make $858 in profits from the crop. Let's go with a lowball number for power and nutes, $142, and your crop needs to sell for at least $1000 for you to make minimum wage for a job where you risk your home, your life, your freedom.

How many oz do you get from each crop?

If you spend 15 hours a week on a 12 plant grow, what do you think people spend on a 72 plant grow? If they made as much as full time permanent employee janitors here at UM they'd be raking in $3000/month in profits, $1000/month of that going to health benefits. How much do you think caregivers should make per hour for their work?

Bullshit, if you're spending more time than that it's because your grow might not be zeroed in yet, you have outstanding issues with getting rid of heat, ventilation, etc... or you're relatively new to the game so you have to spend tons of time reading trying to figure out what to do... or you're battling pests, which can easily become a full time job if done diligently.

When I first started growing, I'd sit with my plants for hours a day..then as I got good at growing..I realized the best thing I could do was leave them alone.

Lots of people spend more time with their plants than they need to. That's not working, that's playing. Lots of people battle environmental problems...but if you don't have a controlled environment, why are you trying to torture more than your own plants? Insects and disease are not much of a problem either. Disease rarely happens (deficiencies and burn isn't disease, it self caused by the grower) and insects are no issue what soever if you look at your plants once in awhile. Treat with neem and insecticidal soap in veg...should have no issues by the time they are in the flower room. Even in the flower room, should bugs show up, as long as you catch them early, they are pretty easy to control.

Why do people want to believe this is some super difficult thing to grow? It's a weed. Put it in good soil. Give it plenty of light. Keep temps, co2, and humidity in control. Water it every few days, and leave it the fuck alone....and if you don't have the proper equipment..stay with growing your own.

I DON'T spend 15 hours a week on a 12 plant grow. That's what should be spent on a 72 plant grow, with any orginizational skills. Labor is super minimal. The only ones that want you to believe its hard, are the ones that think they should make a ton of money for doing very little.

Well, a masters in horticulture will get you about $15 bucks an hour...so I could live with a care giver getting that (after getting all the expenses back)

And learning curve, battling environmental, reading shouldn't apply to a care giver with 72 plants......I'd expect a care giver to know how to grow before he took on a full house of patients. Anyone jumping into a 72 plant grow to start..is most likely only in it for the money...
