First and foremost i want to make sure that everyone understands that DO NOT POST ABOUT HERMIES HERE WHERE THERE MIGHT BE EVEN A SMALL CHANCE THAT YOU FUCKED IT UP YOURSELF, only post about strains that were genetically hermies.
It seems to me that breeders are getting less careful about making sure that there are no hermies in the genes. Not only do i see more people posting about hermies on internet than when i first got into growing like 12 years ago(i took a long break in between), but i have grown 11 different commercial strains since starting to grow again and 3 of them got hermies. Thats fucking ridiculous.
Getting hermies can be a fucking total loss of the harvest basically if it ends up pollinating everything and even if it doesent, it could mean months of wasted work. So it is not a small thing, but a very big deal and breeders really should be more careful with the genes that they use and with looking that that NONE of their plants hermie.
So i think it would be good to call out breeders that gave people hermies and list those strains, so that we can all avoid those strains.
If you see someone posting a strain that you also got hermies from, please quote the other persons post, so that we can more easily see that certain strains have more hermies if there are a lot of posts.
And i know this might seem like pretty harsh towards breeders, but wtf some of you not looking out for hermies in your breeding rooms? Do your job better or have someone else do it instead of you. Hermies are a big fucking deal and should not be treated lightly. Neither by the breeder or by customers who end up receiving some.
But we should also keep in mind that sometimes its just impossible to avoid a male flower popping up here or there and it might make some seeds. So if some breeder is called out here, but just only once. It just shows that they dont make a lot of mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes and its not always the breeders fault, the difference is whether one learns from the mistakes or not. But if there are many cases of some breeder selling seeds that hermie, well then that breeder should look into what he is doing and people should be warned about the hermie danger. Not to ruin someones career, but to warn out people about hermie danger. If some breeder releases hermies and people stop buying his seeds, well then he himself did it on himself and he has no one else to blame but his own lack of skills in breeding.

Also if some breeder is called out a lot from some strain and the breeder would somehow become aware of this post. It would be really nice to hear what might had gone wrong etc. No excuses, but facts and maybe promise to send free seeds for those who got bad ones(with photo proof) or something. And explain what measures have been taken to avoid the mistake in the future. Im sure people would understand and give you another chance and only see you as more trustworthy guy for owning up to past mistakes, and it shows that you wont do the same mistake again.

Here is my list thus far:
Fastbuds - LSD 25 Auto: Planted 2 seeds, got 2 hermies. Will not plant the 3rd seed and take a risk that it will pollinate other plants.
Royal Queen Seeds - Fat banana automatic: Planted 1 seed and it hermied. I was going to use it in breeding with my own auto strains, but since one hermied, i dont want to take the risk with others and even if they would not hermie, they might have weak genes when it comes to ethylene production and this is no good for breeding.
Im not sure if i should even list this here, because even tho it hermied, it was not caused by the regular hermying gene, but it was a triploid(2 leaf pairs instead of two) and triploids can easily hermie, i think because it tries to grow 1/3rd more branches or something, but i will list it here also because, well this is a genetic mutation that can cause hermying: Humboldt seed organisation - gorilla breath. Got a seed as a freebie, it came out triploid, i was like wow nice, vegged it for long and shaped it to a really nice triploid shape and then it hermied in early flowering :/ Sucks because the plant looked really really nice and grew really fast and in every other way seemed like really top notch strain. Again i need to mention that hermying was caused by triploidism, and this was not the regular case of accidentally letting some plant to hermie and seed other plants in breeding room.
