Right. Ok, now lets look at homicide rates, because this is what we were talking about:

Obviously England/Wales should be sorted lower.. But topping the list, most interestingly, are warzones and places where only soldiers are allowed to own guns. Citizens when caught with one, are usually shot dead on site, even when they are compliant. I'm sure those are considered homicides in this list, too. Canada's gun laws are relatively relaxed, and the homicide rate is lower than all those places where nobody is allowed to own a gun.

Because we have a larger population than most other countries.
there was armed people on the island man,the police where heavily armed, just as he knew how to avoid being caught, guns don't solve every thing you know, but in that case they guy should of been shot I actually agree, still a lot of the time guns get used where words or at most a fist or bludgeoning device should be used, like here in the Uk we have more of a knife problem, people need to stop being pussys,if you want to be a man fight like a real man with your fists, lot more fair than pulling a trigger n ending some ones life over some petty shit,no matter what they have done,I believe in self defense, I dont believe in ending peoples lives/seriously harming other people with out justification, still as I say I agree in some cases it would be ok,just 99% of the time its un needed, just my opinion, and I did say earlier I stand corrected about the gun thing, just so happens that the usa has more guns and more crazy people than anywhere else :P

But I really think the English can't be trusted with guns at the rate they kill eachother already... Gun crime is a pretty big problem. Or stabbing. Maybe the other countries would benefit but certainly not a good idea to let an English civilian hold a firearm...

Ok, maybe it's a London thing because around me it seems like people are getting shot, stabbed and killed every kind of other way every five minutes.

England and Wales has one of the worst crime rates among developed nations for rapes, burglaries and robberies, a United Nations report found.
The study for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime found England and Wales had more burglaries and robberies per 100,000 people than the United States in 2006.

Take away guns & you will have a knife / mob issue.. In hawaii guns on the streets are rare.. so it is basically about whoever has the most people + knives.

Good luck banning sharp objects.. we cant even keep them out of the prisons.

Actually, those not living the USA shouldn't complain about our guns. Since your not here to get shot, keep it to yourself.

And if you don't like Americans you should help us get more guns so we can kill ourselves even faster. *Said tongue in cheek*

In the USA there are animals that will eat you or kill you. I would no more walk the northern woods or the Everglades without a gun than I would walk the D without protection

James87, i am curious as to why you say Canadian gun laws are "fairly relaxed". In CA they are arbitrarily, meddlesomely, bossily strict, but I think they're more relaxed than in Canada. cn

you seem very paranoid ww. at some point in your life something must have really trumatized you because that mentality doesn't seem normal or healthy, even for somebody from detroit. no offence intended.

She refuses to be a victim, I think it's pretty cool. I think more people should be aware of their surroundings instead of blindly trusting strangers.

Not too bad here in CA.. I mean, other than not being allowed to own automatics and rocket launchers, you can get anything you want in semi-auto version.

&& I would rather have a gun and not need it than not have one when I need it.. uhh like a condom.

Anyone against Firearms need to pry their arms off that tree.
