It's another poor attempt of selective cut and paste to try to win a point. There was a ten year lull in global warming at the time of that post, I stand by that point, and I'm correct. I also made it clear then and just a few posts ago that we are and have been in a warming cycle. As stated, we are coming out of a mini iceage so it is to be expected. And yes, call me crazy but I do believe the giant ball of fire that provides warmth to this planet, actually has something to do with the temperature of this planet.
You can try to push the bullshit, we take certain things for granted in science argument, but you aren't going to be able to get it off the ground with that argument. If you can't PROVE that man is driving any kind of climate change, then you have ZERO basis for legislation that prevents or restricts free use of fossil fuels.
As to Pad's question, we are at least 50 years from developing an green energy source that can move a vehicle loaded with humans and equipment long distances. Sorry, there is no current alternative options to the combustion engine and no signs there will be for quite a while. Not to mention, driving around in the current class of alternative vehicles is downright foolish. You're no better off in a Volt than you are on a motorcycle, probably less so as you're likely to fall victim to the illusion of safety that being in a closed in vehicle provides.
