cloning from flowering plants is fine, if thats the angle you were wondering about.
In my situation, YELODRVR, I can't really get out...I am handicapped. I am trying to accomplish having as little gap in crops as I can with the one space that I have. I am a MMP patient and it is very expensive to buy where I live....(My partner and I need about an OZ/wk between the 2 of us, and to buy here on "The Dark Side Of The Moon", would cost and DOES cost us about $900.00/mo , and I am on a fixed income. So I must work with what I have. I have a very nice grow room (I'll post pics later today) , but I can not afford the money to buy anything for, or add to it right now or anytime in the near (or far) future . so in my case, ....that is what I am trying to accomplish......never running out ....growing on a constant 12/12 schedule, using cloning, or a combination of both. After seeing and hearing all of the great advice that I have heard here....I am going to go with a combination of both and see what happens. I want to thank ALL of you so much. PLEASE keep the comments and advice coming. I listen to all of it. You have all been so helpfull, I can't beleive how many resopnses this thread has received so far. Thanks Again, and please keep the comments, advice, criticism coming.maybe i dont understand what you guys are trying to accomplish.
but couldn't you just leave the light one 24/7 or 18/6 and divide the room by some kind of partition. like a light proof tarp. or the Styrofoam backed mylar. separate flowering plants from veg plant. then just close off flowering plant 12hrs day. the only physical work would be the modifications, and moving the partitions daily.
thats what i did when i had only one light. pulled the one plant i had in flower to a light tight box for 12 hrs dark.
2 weeks after they have rooted.woo: so after the first cloning, the next clones taken from 'B' after 2 weeks??
Saves Electricity aswell!!after doing some reading it seems smarter to use 12 12 for smaller places, so i might try it soon
right on man, that was going to be my next suggestion. but were back to funding problems. somebody send this guys some seeds. i am broke or i would.I started growing 12/12 from seed becuase of the space issue at first and had to overlap like you did. It seems to be working fine. I am however switching over to an autoflowering strain, so i don't have to worry about that anymore. I think that is the answwer to the problem.
would be quite costly constantly buying seeds!!I started growing 12/12 from seed becuase of the space issue at first and had to overlap like you did. It seems to be working fine. I am however switching over to an autoflowering strain, so i don't have to worry about that anymore. I think that is the answwer to the problem.
one seed crop of an auto flower plant which takes about 11 weeks to do will yield 500+ seeds....... so no, it wouldn't.would be quite costly constantly buying seeds!!
The guy cant waste 11 weeks growing time on a seed crop though, so my point was based on that alone, I know how to produce seeds cheaply.one seed crop of an auto flower plant which takes about 11 weeks to do will yield 500+ seeds....... so no, it wouldn't.
benifit of auto's over clones...... you don't need a mom.... if you have to move nothing is lost.
You also dont need a mum if you run a constant 12/12 set up as I explained earlier in this thread. Hows the Lowryder in only soil with no nute etc .etc. grow going?one seed crop of an auto flower plant which takes about 11 weeks to do will yield 500+ seeds....... so no, it wouldn't.
benifit of auto's over clones...... you don't need a mom.... if you have to move nothing is lost.
yeah your right. You also dont need a mum if you run a constant 12/12 set up as I explained earlier in this thread. Hows the Lowryder in only soil with no nute etc .etc. grow going?
You seem to be a little hostile, have you read this whole thread? If you have you would know that he HAS NOT got 11 weeks to spend producing seed!!yeah your right.
but he has to get seeds for that too.
go look for yourself.
and he has the rest of his life to grow.
