Has any one actually looked at thier plasma tv .. On average a 104 cm plasma tv runs at 400watts. So in this day and age with all the gadgets power consumption that is high is becoming the norm.. Power always spikes at night as this is the peak period. As for power spiking during the day this is usually due to ac

Could I run a fan and a 600w from the same power point?

I.e. not the same socket...but use one plug for light and one plug for fan from the two power sockets.

But since we built our new house and the new inverter gens on the market , i have been getting my power from mains, solar and generators

Yes you should be able to run a fan depending on the wattage of it with a 600 w on the same point. a 600w is roughy 2.5amps.. But remember this is running .. Start up draws more so you have to consider that aswell. Also depends on how old your wiring and fuses are. I can run a 600w and 400w off one point but i have new wiring and fuses

I'll be running solar for everything...whole roof will be solar...does that change things at all??? again, people say if you have solar they won't see the spikes...but with a small 600w set up, they wouldn't see shit anyway.

Only thing is a double power point is not 2 lines of wire to each point . its one line split in 2. You would be better off with 2 singles cause a double is still 10 amps

Depends if your running to batteries then to a inverter. If running straight to inverter it can only draw power whilst the sun is powering the cells..

Solar is the future for hydro i believe. If your drawing in say over 10000 watts form the sun and storing it then it goes to say a 6kw inverter which is 6000w why would you even use mains for anything.. Only thing is the batteries are an eyesore and they can let you down.. So you run off solar and have a power switcher to change it when your solar either fucks up or gets low.

and when it switches ya power keeps running so its not like you have a shut down of power when switchin . It just draws from another device before switching of the solar or generator supply line...
