hey skunkyum thanks for the advice, and i have read that it does stretch some. I was thinking about topping & training but i might just let them grow naturally.. just trying to get a taste of PE and i cant wait. Good luck finishing your crop and youre more than welcome to post some photos of your frosty colas here.

THX! yeah i feel ya, but i couldnt imagine how tall my PE would have gotten if i had let it go untopped. even as it is i had taken the two top stems on the plant for clones right when i flowered it, because it had been topped, but the two top stems were way too tall so took em for clones. and the plant wasnt any taller than 12 inches (30cm) out of its small 6in pot. right from the start when i put it in 12/12 it started growing like wildfire, faster stretch than just about any plant ive ever seen at the start. with that said i even had to top it here and there again to get an even canopy. i ended up with 15 nice even tops and one much bigger and much taller cola. so even with all of that trimming and topping i ended up with a plant that stretched close to 3 times its original size when i first flowered it. some of the stems werent even a cm long on the lower parts and after a few weeks on 12/12 they shot right out to the top a good 8-10 inches in spots. and with this said, i wish u could see how short i usually keep my plants even in flower. my grape ape i just harvested this week was only about a foot tall in the end. so maybe this will help u out in considering the height. i did end up with a somewhat sativa looking pheno from that seed, and i have 7 left. maybe the rest will be a bit more indica, i dunno!?

i would already have give u some pics, but all i have is a webcam. i tried to upload a pic of my clone so u could see the leaves and structure it has. it looks mostly sativa when u look at the clone, it looks more indica when u start it from seed... wierd.

WTF!?!? why cant i upload any pics now?? it just freezes everytime!?!

btw - hows that TD ure tokin? i wanted to grow that, till i saw how sativa the plant looks.
im blazing some super tasty grape ape, citrus fruit flavor very similar to diesel but with a little musk IMO

skunkyum- hey man well thanks for the advice, i have 3 pineapple express from seed growing now and ill be taking a few cuttings.. im getting a BCBUD The Black clone from a buddy of mine tonight.. going to veg thats for 3 weeks then flower her, and ive smoked the blacks before and its absolutely killer so i really cant wait til that gets here. really jealous about ur grape ape, i wish i could get my hands on one of those cuttings. And i wish it was tangerine dream but its not. Its actually Tangerine Kush but its still really dank.. its smells like straight up tangerines, lime green tops, white bottoms. The buds are covered in trichs, and the taste is great.. not so much tangerines, but you can really taste the kush on the exhale. Its a california strain, so im sure if you knew a patient from the LA area, theyve probably come across some tangerine kush.

Anyway, my pineapple express gets a feeding of grow big tonight.. Ill be flushing a few days after so prob on thursday, the day before i plan to switch to 12/12. Im following my plants not a schedule, when they look hungry, i feed them. But this friday will be a complete 3 weeks of veg which is what i planned on doing bc im keeping them in the 3 gallon pots fabric pots for flower too... i just cannot wait for this candy... haha

btw i got like 25 seeds of Grape Ape x Blackberry bro, PM me about it. Nirvana blackberry that is. it was the biggest yielder ive ever had(tho the PE is coming in a close 2'nd). It had a sweet and complex sort of spicey flavor, VERY tight internodes. I figure the internode space was why it yielded so heavy. great high yield strain... well the grape ape had two phenotypes. one was more indica the second more sativa. the indica one had very nice branching, i mean VERY nice. it had 8 very even tops on equal sized stems all the way around, the easiest plant to train ever! and not only did it yield very good with a nice citrusy sweet taste, it also has a great flowering time of only about 7 weeks, i picked mine on day 50. well... thats the grape ape that had the seeds in it which were pollenated from my blackberry. very nice tiger striped fully developed seeds too! im germinating a couple real soon! i kept a couple clones of that pheno of grape ape too! ive got another male from a mystery pack that came from nirvana this december, and it is the skunkiest smelling plant ive ever smelled. this mystery plant is very hardy and looks fantastic too. i plan on making some more seeds with that male and the indica grape ape again. i might even use that male to make seeds with my white rhino too, another strain im over joyed with so far. so keep in touch with me bro!


as for the PE... my lights just came on so lemme go check on em... ill try to get u a pic this time. or at least of my clone from it.

That is my clone from my G13 labs PE. yes its in a powerade bottle, lol. the mother was flowered and its about 46 days into 12/12. from seed this plant had VERY big fan leaves with very wide blades. from clone as you all can see it has very thin blades on its leaves. when i flowered the mother which was from seed, it stretched big time and all the leaves it put out from that point on were very thin bladed unlike the leaves grew earlier in veg. ive already had to top this clone to prevent it from growing super tall on me. certainly one of the most sativa plants ive ever grown.
i tried to get a pic of my flower room for ya but it aint happening. sorry.
btw one of my tops on my PE is leaning over bigtime and taking some of the others with it including the big main cola. i may have to chop that stem cuz im not sure how im gonna be able to tie it up without screwing up the rest of the plant. so watch out for that... the buds start to swell up big time in the 6th week and they weigh so much that the little stems cant support it. ive heard that this is the biggest complaint about this strain is trying to tie it up to keep it from drooping all over the place or snapping off buds. i read one persons grow and they had pics of a plant where the main cola had started to bend slightly one day and the next day he found it on the floor snapped off from the rest of the plant. ugh geuss there just cant be an easy way to get good heavy buds without a little extra work!

yes and i realize now that a scrog from seed would be great for pineapple express. Because it would support all of the weight on the stems. well stay tuned man ill let you know what im going to do soon. might build a scrog this week.

mister black- i have yet to smoke this strain.. all i see and hear is good things about it.. its been in my garden for over 3 weeks now and im loving the way it grows.. i dont think youll be disappointed.

skunkyum- thanks again for showing me your clones. they look beautiful. last night i topped and took cuttings from my pineapple express #2 because it was my biggest PE. and i also took a cut from my UK Cheese. When i take my cuts, i use clonex gel, and root riot(same as rapid rooters)... they are sitting under my 4' t5 lamps. ill get some pictures later. and dude grape ape x blackberry sounds tasty

well shoot dangit! i actually just smoked some of my PE outta my volcano.
it was the bud i had to pick off yesterday, i took just the very top of the stem and it uprighted thank goodness. but i trimmed up the bud a lil and hung it up to dry on a hanger with clips by the stem. i had a space heater in the room to keep the temp good and keep it fairly dry in there. ive experimented with a lot of different ways drying and curing buds, and for some reason as long as u dont get it too hot the space heater in the room helps alot and doesnt seem to effect the quality at all.... idk but thats not my main point here...
-some of the bud material was dry enough to easily clip off and have enough for a bowl in my volcano. it wasnt a big amount, but it ended up being real smokey and it tasted really strongly like it smelled, and still smells even tho it aint cured yet. im impressed cuz that usually means its gonna be very pungent once its cured. My plant has always had this really noticable and strong musky-ness with the pineapple when u smell it. the bowl tasted just like that a very musky pineapple flavor, only a mild sweetness. it was nice tho, it reminds me of a strain i had called pineapple sour kush. tastes alot like it did...
dont get me wrong tho, it might change as it dries and cures properly. I certainly did not cure this little bit properly that i sampled, ill let u know what happens as i do cure the rest of it when its done.

U get any musky-ness in yours, or is it more on the fruity side? i mean mine really has that almost chemy, musky,sour-ness i didnt expect that, other PE ive had was more fruity, which i was wanting.

well they all look the same to me with darker colored huge fan leaves and yea the smell is kinda musky that's all I can really tell right now.. Ill be flipping to flower soon so i can't wait to see wait she really smells like.

mornin fellas. The plants have grown a good amount since I last posted them. I started vegging my TGA Plushberry 2 days ago. My Pineapple Express #2 was topped about a week ago so i could compare wotht the natural growing PE and i could already tell the lower branches are loving the light from the topped plant. Shes going to stretch a lot the first couple week of flower, and the branches arent the strongest, so they will need to be tied up. they'll start 12/12 under my 1000W HPS tomorrow. I did notice pineapple express from seed during the vegetative stage.. Topping and training into a bush is a great method, as well as the SCROG method. This strain is the bomb! And easy to work with. Cant wait to see some flowers

I dont have much room to veg, so i traded my friends extra 5x4x2 tent for 2 grams of tangerine kush haha. But reason getting the tent being, I can only mature 3 or 4 plants in my Veg space right now, but i can fit 6-8 in my flower room. So i would like to be able to use the 1000w to it potential. I also ordered a Blackstar 240 for my new tent, its going to be sick!

i started them on Jan. 5th i believe, vegged for 4 weeks. mine are grown from feminized seed. I put them in my flower room 2 days ago. Theyre growing great in ocean forest/light warrior. not the cheapest mix, but works amazing everytime only adding garden lime.
also i wanted to update and show pictures on my flower room and newly acquired blackstar 240.

1000watt is officially soaking up the pineapple express. woooohooo

do you know the ph of your soil? and what mix do you use for the lime?

i add 2tbsp of garden lime per gallon of soil. I use fox farm and ive never had problems with ph as long as some lime is added. Like i said i personally use 2tbsps of garden lime and have not encountered any ph problems... i always check my ph & ppm before i add to soil..

well since all the data from the past month is now gone, ill just give you guys a little update of whats going on. Today is day 29 of bloom on the Pineapple Express.. The 3 from seed are all growing very well. The topped Pineapple is about 8" taller than the single cola Pineapples that i didnt top in veg. The topped Pineapple is open to much more sunlight than the single colas, because the Pineapple untopped grows very short and bushy so i had to remove all the original fan leaves to open up more light to the bottom. Great growing strain, if i touch the buds a little i can smell skittles on my fingers, but no initial smell of fruity or pineapple at all.. I think the fruitiness will come out later in flower, and thats what im looking for. My cheese is smelling great too! Really fruity and caked in trichs. Cant wait to medicate on these tasty buds!

every thing is growing great. Had a little magnesium def on the cheese but I used Cal Mag Plus -1tsp/gal of filtered water. Its been a couple days, dont see and rusty spots or yellowing so were good. Ill keep giving them cal mag for a week though. Also, my next grow i will not be using fox farm nutrients. I will be using FFOF/FFLW 2:1 and the humboldt nutrients organic line. And in between all of that, i will be making a batch of super soil.

i got 2 different phenos of the Pineapple Express out of 3 seeds.. 2 are super fruity smelling, need a little heavier feed, still super frosty as well.. but then I have the pure Skunk fruity funk to the max, and even undertones of fuel. This plant REEKS of dank, and is absolutely sugar coated. Though this pineapple looks a couple days behind the fruity ones. Cheese is lookin dank and smellin dank too! Have a Plushberry about 3 weeks flowering as well! I gave all 4 of my plants Honey ES last week, and started to flush this week, so everything is looking good! Ive been using tap water the whole time, but my tap measures anywhere from 20-35 ppm so its good water. I love these Pineapple Express, and plan on growing them out again! I will be on later tonight and when the light goes off, i will get some pictures!
