yeah i agree, i didnt really want to harvest. i was out of bud and was not going to run another 500w cab just to keep 2 small plants going. i also wanted to get my seedlings under the HID lamp in the grow tent, i felt they would do better in there and they are my good beans (blue cheese and dutch passion frisian dew, plus some freebie auto hobbit) check out my link in sig next to new journal, just updated a shit load of pics last night if you want to see what i got going on :)

agree 100% that waiting till they are "ripe" not only increases yeild but taste/smell and it is probally the better way especially if your growing for personal consumption.

Day 96 with 47 into flowering. No new issues. Soil is dry, I might consider watering today. Tomorrow...pics

you don't have to wait til its all cured out to smoke it! as long as it burns man. i take nugs out to smoke while they are curing and daaannnnkkk!!! lol just keeps getting better.

day 97 with 48 into flowering (so that's the end of the 7th week into flowering) I watered her yesterday ( 4.5 liters ) She looks well, no new issues. I saw somewhere on the forum, I don't remember where, some method, in the last 2 weeks, the guy was giving ice cold water to the plant to make her produce more trichomes. Have you heard of this? In any case, from now I will give her only water, no nutrients. Next time I will flush again. And hopefully the harvest will be not this weekend that is coming, the next one. Later today I will post some new pics. And maybe you guys can help me. I will need a method of making hash as well. Not the one with the dry ice since I am not able to get any around... And noob question, for the hash should I keep all the leaves?including the fan big leaves?or just the small ones that are covered in trichomes?

Please tell me what do you think. If this would be your plant, when would you consider to harvest? I checked her today with the microscope and the top buds have amber and cloudy trichs, the lower ones have cloudy and clear, and only couple of ambers.

harvest the ones that are ready and let the ones that arent mature a bit, its not a all or nothing deal you can harvest some now and lower the lights to get the buds in the lower part of the plant.

plant looks great. if you gte the chance before your next grow get a few more bulbs and do some training so the canopy has lots of tops. this way you can hang the CFL close to the top of the canopy and dont have to worky about penetrating so much :)

^what he said. everyone always gets so caught up on the idea of one end all harvest. some of the argument stems from well.....the stems. if you go chopping off the top buds and leave some buds on to continue, the plant gets stressed from the chop and will have to expend some energy on repairs instead of continuing to put all of it's efforts into growing those tasty buds. that said......fuck it. take what you feel is done and give the rest more time. the worst case scenario is that you end up traumatizing the fuck out of the plant and have to chop the rest off in a week anyways. keep it green, keep it sticky. peace.

maybe you guys can help me. I will need a method of making hash as well. Not the one with the dry ice since I am not able to get any around... And a noob question, for the hash should I keep all the leaves?including the fan big leaves?or just the small ones that are covered in trichomes?

keep all your trim(even stems) and make either iso oil. butane honey oil or cold water hash. hop on you tube and search these 3 methods

Yeah bro I'd have to say qwiso seems pretty quick, butane seems good bud I jus wonder bout if it does leave anything behind... All of em... I mean shit... I tell u what bubble hash*... real nice

For Hash, I will use everything else.

And use a very fine silk screen against which i will rub the material, collect the dust that falls off and then press it.

thank you so much. My choice will be the 3rd one, the cold water hash. It's the simplest and the tools I will need are very easy to find compared with the pure alcohol or the gas. So basically when I'll harvest, I'll put to dry everything. The buds will be...buds and all the rest I'll process to make the cold water hash.

I am very temped to just cut one of the buds and quick dry it in the microwave...I know that can be tough on the lungs or can decrease the THC and I know that the buds needs curing and proper drying...but I am so tempted to taste and see/fell what I have until now...:-?

you can cut a sample and just let it dry naturally.... should only take a day if you only cut a small sample( or couple small ones/fan blowing on them or over a heat register) :) microwave will just kill the buzz:eyesmoke:
