day 94 with 45 into flowering. She is well, no new issues. Smells good, the buds are looking good, getting frostier and many brown hairs. The soil is still moist. pH around 7.5, temp 22 celsius. Hopefully not this weekend but the next one will be the harvest weekend. And...Monday pics as usual. P.S. been checking again with the new toy(the scope) and they are getting cloudier and I've seen some amber ones too, but still there are couple of clear as well.

It's here , I've tried it a bit, first I will tell you my review about it. Overall it's good, helps you see clear what you are searching for, 60x,80x,100x works very well. But...the big problem is stability. Imagine that you have this scope into your hand and you are bending over the plant to have a bud in the viewing field and the smallest of your moves is taking the imagine away. So from stability point of view...sucks. I was able to check only couple of buds. I was able to see only clear ones, no cloudy or amber...so...I'll wait and see.
a very simple solution to this - cut a small leafy from the bud, put it on a piece of paper, and examine away, quite comfortablly.

still a bit early but nothing wrong with trying it out ;)

in about a week you can cut a tiny sample off the tiny bud leaves( the ones on the buds) and put in on a table.... you will see the trichomes better, more stable too :)

can't wait to taste it...at the end of next week I am thinking to put her down
maybe? she will tell you when she is ready....not the other way around ;)

sound about right though ....long as all trichomes are cloudy you can harvest her

i have smoked buds on day 40 and got very very high

i read somewhere that growers wait WAY too long, not because it makes the bud go bad (that it does grow more indica with time), its just unnecessary and wasteful. 60-70 days should be enough for nay plant that's not highly sativa, and even if it seems not to be ripe at the time of picking, the bud continues to ripen after harvest.
my
previous grow (100% indica) i harvested on day 85. was it bad? no. could i have taken it down a month before that? I do believe so.

also, i have found that 'ripen' by ghe and the like hurries ripening substantially.

so i'd just chop it, esp since it's a small amount.

i think alot of people wait for weight, 1-2 weeks at end can really make a difference in your yeild

Day 95 with 46 into flowering. I am thinking to cut her down on day 60 of flowering. So 2 more weeks to go and after that...the long journey of curing and drying...that would be...another 5 weeks of waiting :( so 7 weeks from now I will smoke it :( only. Today she looks ok, no new issues, soil almost dry.

yep that's true.

the thing is, i haven't made really decent calculations or experimenting, but my gut tells me you get much more weight eventually by starting your next grow earlier. After all, grams per watt is nice to know, but it's actually quite meaningless without the temporal aspect - it should be measured by grams per watts per month. so if lets say we get 10 oz after 3 months, and only 8 oz after two months (dunno if it's valid but can't be too far) - after six months this becomes inefficient - 20 oz from doing two batches 3 months each or 24 oz from doing three in 2 months each.

And even for non-commercial grows, considering other aspects - such as the long time it takes to grow and often having to buy expensive bud before your ladies are ready (can be avoided, but often happens esp to new growers etc.), or the ability to finish a grow to deal with various constraints (summer temps, having to move, stealth and smell issues), and of course the costs of energy and substances, well you get the point - it's so friggin long, why make it even longer.

no, I will wait until she'll be done, maybe the end of next week, maybe later, we'll see
Atta boi!!!! Lol..... It's worth the milky amberish to me... I harvested early back when and the outcome couldve been much better
bro most growers wait to get the best quality n quantity, but it's up to u, I'd rather you say it was worth the wait then you saying damn it couldve been better I shouldve waited.....

i guess its just a matter of personal preference :)

i try to wait but my first grow i had to chop a bit early due to bud rot (outdoor grow, wet fall)

second grow i chopped early because i found no reason to run 2 cabs for 2 small flowering bagseed plants. bot times the buds got me good and baked so its not like they dont do the trick. this current grow im on i feel i will wait untill they are surly done, one project i plan on vegging for 3-4 months so i see no point in chooping 2 weeks early after that long.

if yo want to avoid the 20oz per 6 mo or 24 oz after 6 months, perpetual is the way to go, this way your harvesting every 2 weeks and this factor dosent really play a role.

but like i said i think it all boils down to situational/personal preference :)

Wutsup Matt.... It seems some of us be getting alot of those "I have to chop early cause of" things lol, I did cause of my girl... For real she got mad n shit so u know how that go lmao.... Also Im agree that yes, you can get high off a early harvest but when u wait there is a difference and I love the difference, smell taste and effect :)
