A man has been arrested in China after gnawing at a woman’s face in an apparent random attack, local reports said.
The
Shanghai Daily said the man, who had been intoxicated, rushed the woman’s car and blocked it before climbing on its hood and hitting the windscreen while the woman screamed inside.
When the woman ran out of the car, the man, who friends say had been drinking heavily that day, pounced on her and started gnawing on her face once the pair were on the ground, the report said.
Witnesses said they tried to pull the man off the woman but he seemed so “crazy” they couldn’t stop him.
The attack, which has left the woman needing plastic surgery to repair her nose and lips, only stopped once police arrived, said the report.
