his money? you mean my money and your money: taxpayer money.

he would have had to cancel 50 or so flights at our expense to reach the $25,000 mark he reached by opting for first class.

and they sell refundable tickets for coach.

although this thread was meant for the sole purpose of riling paulistas and this is not a serious issue by any stretch, it does indict ronald as a man who talks the talk, but does not walk the walk. especially when there's some extra leg room and pretzels in it for him.

again, this is not about other people. i find it hilarious that in the rare instance when i start a ron paul thread, you want to talk about other people. but deflection is deflection.

like i said, he would have had to cancel about 50 flights over 2 years to make his decision to fly first class actuarially sound.

and, as i have also pointed out, they sell refundable tickets for coach as well.

If Ron Pauls Detractors are that upset about the extra 27,651 dollars that Ron Paul used to upgrade his tickets since 2009, then I might have an Idea for you guys to get that money back and more ...much much more...


Ron Paul proposes that if he were to win the presidency that he would only accept $39,336 which represents the median salary of the average American Worker instead of the $400,000 that Barack Obama is getting paid now.

Yea it is really...Is it worth it not to take the congressional flight if your a congressman? I think we would have to look at the other congressman what they do..

I mean

You wanna talk about hypocrits..look at the fake libertarians that is the conservative party....Lets see who is the bigger hypocrit, Ron Paul VS every other republican congressman....Dr Paul is the only republican that truly gives a rats ass about personal liberties. The rest talk the talk but they are all about oppression of personal liberties and increasing spending.

fake libertarians? you mean like ronald, the one who wants the government to limit my wife's liberty to make decisions about her reproductive health?

and no, this is NOT about other people. if everyone else in congress spent a billion dollars on air travel each year, would he be a saint for only spending half a billion?

this is about ronald the millionaire, who rails against government spending, and then foists $25,000 of OUR money so he can sit in first class.

They should get more efficient with the space, so instead of some gulfstream 6 for one person. They can do with a gulfstream 1, or a puddle-jumper.

You can buy refundable tickets without paying for first class. This I've done before.

Why does he need to SPEND TAX DOLLARS to fly first class? I get the paying more for refundable tickets, that makes sense. But the big government spending to fly first class part is what I'm having trouble understanding.

If you mean Ronald Reagan then yeah pretty much but abortion is not a liberty issue its a special interests issue and frankly a fringe issue...but as far as the drug war and stuff yea...good examples...

No really what does sitting first class even imply for the congressional deal? It sounds like you are likely to miss work if you use the other option and you have to go through more security probably and it blows nuts...Find me one person that doesn't opt for this and it would be relevant...

Now..Lets talk about important things besides methods used to commute? lol

Now see, if you started off with that argument, I'd probably look at it as a reasonable point. Ron Paul is less of a hypocrite than the other options. That could make sense. But you immediately jumped on the position that Ron Paul is incorruptible and infallible. That's what makes you sound like a cult member.

The "not as bad as the other guys" can be a strong argument. But the Ron Paul is the one true omnipotent god who's incapable of doing any thing wrong stuff is why everyone looks at you like a crazy person.

multiply $27,621 over 32 years of congressional service and you get $883,872 so that ronal the millionaire does not have to sit with us peasants in coach.

Those are still made up numbers because your just making wild assumptions and the total is 27,000$ over like 4 years I believe lol...
