Upon reviewing this list of bomb ass ingredients you are using, you should bag the stuff and market it. I'll bet you could outsell Fox Farm. I would recommend using tea as opposed to any MG, and it isn't just b/c I don't care for the Scott's Corp. Teas are what activate the rest of that good stuff you are making. After I do my mix, I like to moisten it with molasses tea and let it sit in a warm place for a few weeks prior to using. That really gets the microbes rocking.
hey man, thanks for the kind words but im just in it for my own personal use. appreciate the info on the tea. ill get my soil mixed up and water in a a nice dose of the tea before i start my seedling to get things rolling in there. i may actually pick up some other shit to mix in as well but it will all be organic, i really like the idea of organic growing and i do find that chemical ferts are just too risky for me, wether it be the pre treated soil or the granules. i think organic growing is the way mother nature intended it so in my opinion it is the best way

What am I vouching? Organics? Ill vouch organics, definitely. I'll vouch worms too. Worms are great, without worms, ants, and termites our soil would be garbage - they are responsible for over turning some crazy large number of soil annually, like 70% of the A horizon. The detritivores in general do not get enough recognition.

I'm amped man! lol. seriously. from bagseed too! i can't wait to take my first clones...gotta see who's who first tho. so i gotta head to the depot again to get another fan. and drill bit. and i need bloom nutes. and i need smaller pots for the veg cab. money money money! my wife is going to kill me. lol. hope this makes up for it at some point.

ok so how small can i go for vegging pots? i think i will stick with pots for now cause i need them sooner rather than later, and there aren't any grow bags locally...

i was thinking like 6 in diameter...about a gallon...more or less or ok?

thanks gas. yeah thats what i ended up getting...well...close to a gal anyway. they are 6in diameter same as the bigger ones i have. got some more pro mix and bloom nutes. also went to home depot and got a bigger 250 cfm fan for the bigger cab, with a 6 to 4 inch reducer so i don't have to drill 6 inch holes...cause that bit itself is 40 bucks...not to mention the arbor thing that the bit itself mounts to...which i already have thankfully because of the 4 inch bit i got previously. ANYWAY...

so. now i have basically everything. minus an air scrubber for the flowering cab, which i may DIY outta activated carbon from the pet store. if i end up needing it. i think i will. anyway i am STOKED. now just hurry up and WAIT. lol.

where did you get them 3 gal containers and what did you pay for them? i have been looking everywhere for cheap plastic pots and cant find shit for a decent price, almost better off buying 5 gal homer buckets and cutting the top off of them but then i lose the handle....><

gonna need to get some bigger pots before next grow i want 3-4 gallon containers

Matt - try calling around to local nurseries and ask if they have free pots. Most nurseries get plants in labeled pots which they are not allowed to use post re-pot. A lot of nurseries just trash the pots but a lot of the time you can find a nice one who will just load you up. I found a tiny nursery near me and they offered me everything they had. I ended up taking 100 super thick 7g pots and that was just barely scratching their supply. I know for a fact Monrovia will not take back their pots so if you find a nursery that sells Monrovia brand plants they often have spare pots lying around somewhere.

Best approach imo is to tell them it is for a science experiment and then buy some soil from them after the fact. Ensures you have a steady supply.

i just checked the local greenhouse today and they were willing to sell me these cheap pots much like what Rad is using but not cheap. 99¢ for a 1 gal and upwards of $2.00 for the bigger ones. for this price i can go to the dollar store and buy something that will work just as well, may have to drill holes in it but thats not a big deal.

probally what i will end up doing is hitting the dollar store and getting some mop buckets for a buck each then just drilling some holes in em.

haha my wife comes from a predominately italian family, and therefor sews, cooks AMAZINGLY (we had red pepper parmesan risotto with garlic lemon butter roasted salmon for dinner tonight), and consequently has a sewing machine. felt, you say?

i paid 1.60 per for the bigger pots and i think .60 per for the smaller. local agway. i get the second largest boxes of MG nutes for 4.99 apiece too. not too shabby. 17.5l bag of pro mix for 9.99...

dam that sounds like a dam good dinner :)

i shop at my local agway for the most part too (only place that sells stuff during the winter) but they dont have the pots you have :( i may try the felt idea.

the guy at the local agway said the FoxFarm lineup has been selling crazy past couple weeks up here, he said he was reluctant to get the FoxFarm products because of the price but was amazed how quickly he sold out so he is ordering more lol.
