I am in no way stating that I would use soap at all, just saying its a technique that people who are a lot more advanced in cultivation than I will ever be have used and recommend. Of course, I would read up on it further before I choose to throw Arm&Hammer in with my plants, but just saying, its a valid technique.

I don't belive in using any kind of sope in water when watering the plants

when I bought some slowering and late flowering food I got a thing on how to feed them and well it says to give them a bit of Epson salt to help increase the resin

It's true.. a micro drop of dish soap breaks the surface tension of the water, you see it all the time if you've ever washed the greasy dishes. You see a film of grease on the top, add a drop of soap and all of a sudden it disappears like magic.

Now is it necessary when watering your plants, I have no idea. I personally wouldn't want my plants eating soap, but then for other plants you do use 'insecticidal soap' to kill off some forms of fungus or bugs.

Clear dish liquid can be used as a water surface-tension breaker. At a couple of drops per gallon it won't be harmful.
