How do I Lower my Soil PH??

i just bought myself a cheap soil PH reader that also does fertility , light and moister.. I am not sure how accurate this thing is but it is showing my soil PH to be slightly over 7.. from my understanding it should be slightly under 7 for proper growth.. When i am adding nutrients I am aiming for 5.5-6 ph on the solution.. is there a way for me to bring the soil PH down easily?

I just put in some PH down liquid into my water for the next watering. But, seems scetchy if you have a cheap reader because some of those give fucked up readings.

HMMM. 1st the cheapies are not always that accurate so be careful. A bit of vinegar in your water will bring down the ph, and bit of baking soda will bring it up a bit. Or did I get that backwards, not sure right now, pretty tired. I know it is one or the other. And I am sure someone will come along and correct me if I am wrong. And much cheaper than ph up and down.

you are bring it down when you add ph'd water/nutrient...take a few days for it to creep up again to 7. but ph 7 for soil is bang on.

One or the orher used continually will cause problems. Especially the baking soda, sodium and carbonate build up in the medium will slowly inhibit the uptake of many other nutrients. Cheaper yes, but even a poorer choice to use in the garden.....

Nothing either of you have offered will help in LOWERING te soils pH. Just dumping pHed water through it wont accomplish dick. If you really need to lower your mediums pH use aluminum sulfate or sulfur........and exactly how is stating the truth bashing?

That is complete bs. No matter what pH your water is that you pour into the is going to buffer to the mediums pH within a half hour....pHing water/feeding solutions is a waste of time in soil grows......
Even when you add lime to soil it takes weeks for it to react and make a major change. And you think just pouring pHed water through the medium will change its pH. You got more learning to do lads.....

How does the plant actually look? It's my opinion that growing cannabis has been intentionally complicated so that they can sell people extra stuff.

And if that's one of the analogue metal prong meter, i would be VERY wary.

Im using a organic indoor soil potting mix in the vegging plants i took in (what the orginal owner was using) but will be transfered into foxfarm ocean forest when its time for bigger pots ... im a little hesitant to repot them so soon since they are in bad shape but then again im just a noob should i reconsider my decision?

so basically what im getting from the responses is if i use a liquid agent to lower the ph it is only solving the problem temporarily ? ? thanks everyone for being helpful
