lol believe all you want the info wouldnt hold up in court if it was use as it was illegally obtained i know i have face this gun before when my uncle was busted with my camera at his grow which i left in his car by accident it had one picture of a cola from my grow dated 3 yrs ago he said nothing and they still found me by my picture exif data shit was thrown out in less then 10 minutes

I think if I were ever busted on the Fed level, I'd hire a good lawyer & delay trial long enough to legally change my name to "Meta Medical Marijuana"!
Then they would have to say on court; "Meta Madical Marjuana" please take the stand & spell your name for the record!lol!

so how does one erase this meta info from pictures before loading on internet?

IM WITH DOUBLE JJ COME AND GET ME! i been to jail before (max 6 mo. at a time) and juve time its not so bad free food, playing cards and dminoes (thanks i pay taxes).. dont have to hear my lady gripe get to see her 1x a week... shiit sounds like vacation to me.. minus all the chainlink no herb =)

I may do it now them, just as a precaution. I can still use doublejj as my name except when I sign legal documents. Cheaper than a defence lawyer!lol!

I don't think anyone is being tracked or busted through RIU unless there is some other "bigger" issues the poster is in.
I do hope people get busted for improper grammar, not using search before asking questions asked 1000 times before etc.. we can only hope. LOL

seriously, if they start a stupid thread like HELP!!! with two posts, they should have their names address and google map of theyre house posted for all too see. i reply too alot of them cause i feel like i can help (even minimally), it really all depends on what kind of questions are being asked, but
just straight busted cuz you dont know how to research

I believe RIU is like Facebook in that they scrub the info when you post it, I can't find any pics with all the info (including one I posted and didn't scrub prior).

I checked the exif data on the pics from my phone. I keep the GPS off until I actually need it, and have been actively aware to check for that before I take the pics. I use xnview and it has a feature for manipulating the exif data, such as modifying, scrubbing, exporting... So I exported to see what it actually shows. There is no serial number on mine, as far as I can tell.
So then I was thinking... If I include the GPS but *change* it, perhaps to an officer's address, who I'm aware lives down the street.. Then wouldn't that be interesting to watch what happens?
