Nice work, you have the idea.... Keep an open mind when it comes to LST in flower though, it helps a ton to keep it low and even
Word... I will do that. Heh. I really don't like touching the buds, want to leave all that goodness on there... and I find it hard to secure ties for LST in flower as a result.

Both those plants are on day 11 of flowering.....I will try to take a pic of her stalk, I pinched it so hard it made a hole in the middle of her stalk. I love your thread shwagggggy.

Thanks dude! I'm guessing around 3 zips? Hard to say, its pretty dense. Going to try a little teaser tonight and probably jar it in the morning

It is excellent smoke! I highly recommend it BKB. Just jarred it, weighed in at just under 4 zips before the cure, all tops of course
. I used every bit of that plant with the training and lollipopping I did. Nothing to hash but the trim I will get some pics of the cured bud up for you sooner or later.
A run of AK's would yield you a lot of good bud. If I ran just these in my 4 x 4 flowering area I could knock down at least 8 zips per month in that space. A half pound per month under a 600, I can live with that!

I tried super cropping on my last grow. I had some bagseed that I tried it on for the first time. I did it to the 4 plants I had. I had to bandage a few branches with tape cause they broke, but I managed to save it. After all was said n done it turned out bushy as hell, but I think it stunted the shit out of my plants. I don't know if I would've gotten better results by just topping and LSTing my plants. Maybe different strains do better with super copping kind of like everything else being strain related in one way or another...

Different strains respond better for sure.... You want to bend, but not break. Some strains are def more delicate than others but I find that all strains respond well from cropping. The age of the branch plays a large role in its strength for SC too. Too young and they like to snap if you push them too far, too old and they become rigid. When working with younger plants I like to do the cropping in stages. Once a slight bend is put into the plant it can be made permanent over time. Going over the bend in the same spot 2 or 3 times over a week or so will allow you to be more aggressive with each bend until you can easily fold the branch 180 degrees without any issues at all. It pays to be patient, usually the initial bend will grow back to normal within a day. Then I hit it again and it becomes more manageable and permanent every time I bend in the same spot.
Of the 15 or so strains I've grown out all respond well to SC with the exception of one. 100% sativas can be tricky! Its not that it didn't respond well, its just that even with cropping and LST it grew too fast and tall to manage. Super Silver Haze is not for me!
If cropping doesn't work for you LST and topping is a fine option! I use all three simultaneously though and the cropping is the easiest method for me when it comes to canopy management. I don't want to LST all of my vegging plants when I can just grab them and bend them. LST in veg would be far too time consuming for me and I would rather spend that time with my flowering plants. Topping can control height to only a degree and there is a point where you want to stop in veg to let the tip mature and prepare for a number of flower sites. LST is a must for me as well once I initiate flower and the bends I have created through super cropping during veg compliment the anchoring of the plant once its time for flower. A sort of a template I guess.....

I'm just a beginner at this. I'm still very green, but I am learning. I think thats all that matters. I will keep on trying different methods with different strains, and I am sure after time I will find my groove. I can't say how much you can learn from just reading these posts. Handles all the whats, whys, when, wtf's, and what ever other issue you can run into. Big props to everyone on here!

LOL, don't they though? I have some friends that have small setups like mine, most of them using 400's for personal stash and a bit of overage.... They always about shit their pants when I pull out my shrubs compared to the plants they grow. They truly are a specimen when you have a perfectly trained plant with all usable bud.... When you shake it or move it all of the buds just flop all over the place while the branches try to support the bud weight while laying sideways. The stalks after harvest do remind me of antlers, I thought about hanging them up in my grow room for a minute once, haha.
Hell yeah man, hands on is where you gain your skills for sure. The fact that you are interested in the plant and want to learn methods to increase your yield and quality says a lot about the kind of grower you are. If you are open to new methods and constantly searching for ways to increase the quality and yield you're harvesting you will be an awesome grower. You will most definitely find your groove I assure you. Keep bending them around like you would an 18 year old gymnast and you will see how they respond. When time permits I think I will select a plant to use as a model and take pictures of it a couple times per week to show how she is responding to the training. Perhaps that would show a time lapse of one plant for a better understanding.
