That section of the full definition applies most to internet memes. I think stereotypes are very much related to memes as well as being a common feature or instigator of internet memes.

I like that definition because the meme is not an image or video in itself but the whole concept and whatever connotations are attached to which form the meme takes at any one time are included. The 'goat sacrificing' thing also adapted and developed through being used in different contexts but it kept it's meaning and the ideas attached. I'm finding this very hard to put into words...
