Pineapple express (g13labs) is a trainwreck hawaiian hyrbrid!?

I don't think it's because the branches are weak. I think it's because at around week 5 or 6 the buds start getting very heavy. By week 7 and 8 they will hit the ground if not tied up.

I have 7 baby PE's gettin bigger every day:)

So you recommend cages cause of weakass branches?
Yep. That or a scrogging. Just make sure you have a support system in mind before they get big or you'll have one hell of a headache trying to support them after the fact. Also it will harm your yield if your plant has to waste energy supporting the heavy branches.

Cages should work.

I think it's a little of both really. Pineapple express isn't some insane high yielder. You don't have to brace big bud like you do PE.

I just harvested a nirvana Blackberry that had to supported on every single branch. i dont really think that makes it "hard" to grow. just a little extra work. and it even had thick branches, its just that the buds were too damn heavy for the stems. hope the PE yields good like that! personally my PE has quite thick branches and far internode spacing, i doubt it will get too flimsy. thx for the info tho.
