1st Time CFL Closet Grow

Little update here. Tom's showing awesome growth but kept wanting to turn towards the single bulb with the shield and away from the two Y'd bulbs. To fix this I now have an even 4 100w equals at 5000k spaced evenly on either side of him. I also added a small fan to the room to provide a light breeze to help strengthen his stem. I leave the door to the closet open most of the day so he gets fresh air but close it at night and for most of the morning.

At this point I do a have a couple of questions on things.

A: Is it possible to make him too short an stalky so when it comes time to flower there's no room for the buds to grow?

B: When should I start thinking about replanting him into a bigger pot and when I do so do I continue with the same MG potting soil or is that not good at that point? He's almost 3 weeks old from sprouting.

C: Can you edit previous posts you have made to add or remove text or pictures? I don't see a button except on a brand new post.

A: the shorter ans stalker will have more side nodes and will grow its buds just fine, if you want it to grow taller move the CFL away, its safe at this point to move them up a bit to get your plant to stretch a little just be sure to move them back close when you want it to sto stretching and dont let it stretch too far to a time or you will have no nodes. let stretch for 5 days, lower light for 5 days give the plant time to bush then stretch again.

B: same soil is fine, do you plan on using nutes? if its pre treated soil give it a week or 2 after transplanting before you give it additional nutes. it is ready for transplant when you can tip it and all the soil comes out and you can see the roots all over the soil, if the soil starts to break apart when you tip dont tip the rest of the way just give it more time.

C: not sure, i wanted to know the same thing a while back cuz i wanted to edit first post but couldnt figure out how to. if you do let me know :)

stop in here just to say hi, very nice !! you no use nutrients yet, i'm right?
shouldnt have to use nutes yet his soil shoild have plenty in them. as long as the plant is nice and green like it is in the above pics i wouldnt add anything its just asking for a headache.

Correct sir. I don't plan to use any nutes until I have to in order to avoid nute burns. Also like to keep it simple :)

Picked up Toms pot last night and could see a couple roots threw the drain holes in the bottom so this morning I transplanted him into his new home. Also I moved my lights a little farther away because I'm worried the lower growth won't get enough light if it continues to be this short and bushy...…..... Opinions?

Too short and stuby?

Haha, thanks man. Last time when we did our grow we were cleaning out the closet and found all those in there from the previous owners and though they'd be perfect!!

Here's a pic of the plant from last time. Same soil, one somesortof CFL too far away, and tap water. Not going to be making the same mistakes this time around!!

Barely got 4 grams off her and it was pretty harsh, grassy tasting smoke. Ugly lil thing too lol. Ended up having foxtail buds on the top which were different to see as well.

Just got a thermometer that records and shows the high and low points of every 24 hours along with current temp. Waiting 10 more minutes to start it so that way it resets at 4:20 everyday lol

is it possible it tasted like shit due to an impropper dry/cure. if you dont cure properlly and let dry well the weed will taste grassy and harsh. that plant you have in pic looks like it has some nice bud on it just grew fucked up due to lack of light.

Pretty sure you've nailed it there. I'm pretty sure last time we just hung them to dry and never let them cure......

Like I said, this time I will NOT be making the same mistakes! Thanks for pointing out this one out so I can be sure to do it right!
