1st Time CFL Closet Grow

Just ordered myself a couple of Christmas stocking stuffers

First off this magnifier so I can view and take pictures of the trichs when the time comes, and just for closer looking purposes in general.

Also I've been a smoker for over 10 years and have somehow never owned a scale so I finally ordered one!! Yippee!!

yeah same here on the scale thing, finally after smoking almost 12 years bought one for my last grow's harvest

Did some quick reading on MG relating to weed growing. All I'm using is this soil and water that's been sitting out for a few days and that's all I plan to do for this grow, no extra nutes. This soil seems relatively low in nutes so I'm hoping I'll be alright.

im not even using MG soil just to clearify that. im using miracle grow perilite and peat moss mixed in with some old soil from my outdoor summer grow.

i have used MG soil before and been fine. this perilite and peat moss is fkin loaded i guess.

im just good with any pre treated medium i would rather know exatly how much nutes my plants are getting and be able to increase/decrease as i see fut than have to worry about undefined variables

If i wanna grow in soil with no Nutes at all what should i get, i wanna be able to control it all cuz this pre-nuted soil is a scary thing!

i just read a thread on this while reading about MG. Lemme see if I can find it. But I'd not just search "miracle grow potting soil" in "titles only" and it comes up. It's a few pages long.

i just read another post on RIU about MG perilite.

if you ever felt perilite its like a rice crispy, just absorbs. so im sure they can soak that shit in nutes and it will be pretty strong.....i dunno. im a little frustrated with my grow but maybe it will all turn out well

ok so there is .05% nitrogen in there and 8 quarts. im not a math person but here are my calculations. 8 x .05 = .4 .4 US quarts = 378.541178 milliliters

yes but i used MG products not just normal perilte or peat moss. im really happy with my drainage just not with my nute burn

Food for thought for the night..... Should I grow it straight up or do the 4 way LST method? If I did can I cover a branch for 12/12 this soon to find the sex to make sure I'm not wasting my time?
