I'm married, I give my wife the tender loving she needs, but ladies remember - you're all special and unique snowflakes, and when we catch you on our tounge we don't automatically know what you want, we want to please you (most of us anyway) if for no other reason than to inflate our own ego...but you've got to participate, too.

Pain 4 pleasure?
Does someone have a whips and chains type of mommy ?
I am guessing we were going in slightly different directions with this.

(serious for a moment, then back to regular programming):
I really do think D.B. is having an episode. I half-remember reading about him mentioning bipolar illness. I knew folks with bipolar, and reading his long posts of a coupla pages ago gave me that bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I worry. Bipolars on a manic runaway tend to do poorly with self-preservation or heeding good advice. cn

I'm bi-polar, and I'd like to inform you we are all different, and you can't base your knowledge of all bi-polars with a handful of knowledge, that's stereotyping, and not cool. No offense, but this is what's on my mind about that.

No apology?

You have been rather abrupt, negative and less than constructive...

I'm not going to 'dogpile' you to show you up or anything, just saying. No hard feelings, but I think a few peoples' have been hurt.

A joke got out of hand and a little personal, but I think we should all go have a smoke and move swiftly on ^^;

I recognize that every bipolar person is a person. However I am giving my honest read of the situation. I don't know for a fact that OP is bipolar, nor do i know for a fact that he is having an episode. I do have close personal experience with more than one person having a serious manic episode, and these posts trip my "oh shit!" receptors. Had I omitted the words "tend to", I would be guilty of stereotyping. But those two words admit to diversity ... of people, and of different experiences by any one person. In your opinion, does that make my post work OK? cn

I had a hard time handling "Your momma" jokes right after my mom died, but I just accept them as the jokes they are now, these people have no knowledge of my personal life and shouldn't be expect to behave as though they do in my opinion, and when someone tells me their parents are dead at a joke, I don't apologize. It's not my fault they're dead, not my fault I didn't know they were dead and not my fault your wound is fresh. Sorry if that's harsh, but to expect others to carry emotional baggage for you is a bit much, in my mind.

It's okay, he only said he 'thinks' and said he was worried and stated the little information he is going on, rather than declaring he knows the condition inside and out.

I know I get very defensive when people make generalizations about autistic spectrum disorders but he wasn't trying to hurt anyone ^^;

I also know that I do make very bad decisions relating to self preservation on an episode and often have to rely on accounts of what I've done and said to plan for next time...

Black people tend to steal. Asians tend to drive poorly. Tend to does nothing to stop a stereotype, but I wasn't trying to rain on your parade, just putting my $0.02 in there. I ain't mad, and I don't hate, I'm just saying.
