I can't have sex because I'm waiting for my partner (we had a really bad falling out/break up, and I had some issues to deal with) and we're probably not going to have sex for like 6-12 months....what the fuck am I supposed to do?????????? I'm SICK of masturbating!! I got off my sleeping pills to become more in the moment and less dependant on substances and now my libido is back in like FULL force....I literally had like a dozen erections today...some lasting as long as 20 minutes. I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown!!!! And now when I masturbate it literally takes me like 20 minutes to cum!!! This is nuts!!!!
And please don't tell me I should get a hooker....I am a father and I will not cheat on my partner or hurt her.
But I need to have sex!!!! I need to have sex for like 2-3 hours!!! I have so much pent up sexual frustration that I think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown!!!! I need to have sex but can't!!!!!! HELP!!!!
...are you an artist, by the way? And, a 20 minute erection is not conducive to 120-180 minutes of sex!

...I'm with neer on this one. Get it checked out. Also, I TEND to be bipolar and adhd, an advantage in assessment.

I am guessing we were going in slightly different directions with this.

(serious for a moment, then back to regular programming):
I really do think D.B. is having an episode. I half-remember reading about him mentioning bipolar illness. I knew folks with bipolar, and reading his long posts of a coupla pages ago gave me that bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I worry. Bipolars on a manic runaway tend to do poorly with self-preservation or heeding good advice. cn
LOL we often do ;)

I very much agree that when i read his recent posts i can feel his stress and frustration, or maybe it's my own because i want to understand and help but feel confused that i don't get what he's trying to convey. Well he says he's being accused of being bisexual, and also worries that someone he clearly feels deeply for is not around to support him, but why is this happening?? It seems like he set himself up to be discovered, if he loved his lady why post penis pics online? sorry i get frustrated when i don't understand things, i asked him specific questions but he only responded with talk of how long he can last and more paranoid talk of her drugging him. Like u said he needs to see someone and get some perspective on why he feels the way he does. I hate when people allow other peoples comments to dictate their own views of themselves.

Black people tend to steal. Asians tend to drive poorly. Tend to does nothing to stop a stereotype, but I wasn't trying to rain on your parade, just putting my $0.02 in there. I ain't mad, and I don't hate, I'm just saying.
Oh dude! Some of my best friends are bipolar!!

I tripped up in how I expressed myself. Even so ... I don't see how what I said is anywhere near the level of the sly bigotry of the examples you posted. (n.b. I am not implying you're a bigot!) It was and is intended as rather less loaded, like "fair-skinned people tend to sunburn more badly". I really did not mean to offend. cn

I really am not offended, I'm just putting it out there to add the note that that's not always the case with bi-polar people. There are 2 types of bi-polar, and at least 2 different types of manic episode alone (true manic and hypo-manic), I just want the info there, just like anyone else with a misunderstood affliction.

I had a hard time handling "Your momma" jokes right after my mom died, but I just accept them as the jokes they are now, these people have no knowledge of my personal life and shouldn't be expect to behave as though they do in my opinion, and when someone tells me their parents are dead at a joke, I don't apologize. It's not my fault they're dead, not my fault I didn't know they were dead and not my fault your wound is fresh. Sorry if that's harsh, but to expect others to carry emotional baggage for you is a bit much, in my mind.
Oh i'm a big girl i can take a joke, does not mean i still don't feel empty when people mention him :( I should not have assumed this person was able to laugh at this if i myself feel something when i read it)

And I guess i assume most people can take a joke without feeling the need to get defensive in return ;)

Fair enough. The people I knew were at the schizoaffective end of the continuum, and their behavior at the beginning of a manic break was startlingly similar to D.B's ideations. I used too broad a brush. cn

...true and hypo? How about 'almost dead' and 'almost more dead'.

I also suffer from schitzoaffective disorder, and my true manic breaks are easily as bad as you say, but they're not very common, more often I have hypo-manic episodes of amazing productivity and focus. I do understand what you're saying, and I'm not saying any of the information you stated was wrong, just general. I'm sure we understand each other just fine, I even think we agree in a very wordy and round-about way.

You were right to call me on it though. Sometimes I benefit from an attitude check. cn
