I came across this post and thought about you Trichy, you may have already seen it but I thought I'd post it for you guys. Maybe some help???
Sorry trichy. Perhaps I should start my own thread, if for the only reason to avoid these involuntary thread jacks.

i think he mentioned used chunks of rockwool as apposed to cubes.
Hey TB question for you on your Amtrol tank, what pressure did you charge it to for your system?
Is that you or someone reposting your stuff?
True, but did this chees-ery come from your mouth, or theirs? : Thats right, its time to drop it NASA style & prepare for re-entry!I was chatting with someone on this site some months ago, when they informed me that my original project vid was posted on this site. I was actually pretty stoked, because I was pretty new to the scene. I guess they've been following my stuff. From what I can tell, they exclusively use other people's material. I ain't worried about it. Plagiarism is the best form of flattery, I guess.

LOL....
Yes, Atomizer recommended using netcups loosely filled with cut up chunks of rockwool (about 1cm chunks I believe). Water the rockwool to keep it moist until the roots exit and can take in the mist. Cultilene brand is supposedly the best as their manufacturing process makes their wool less apt to getting mushy.
Any tank should be pre-charged with air 2psi less than your CUT-IN pressure, that ensures the last drop of nutes comes out pressurized. In my case cut in is 110 psi, and I precharged it to 108psi. My pressure switch cuts out at 140psi.
speaking of infringement.... Dole Food Co. is getting jacked for their slogan "We Grow Quality"
the wait is killing me.... i need porn! (you know what i like)
Naw, that cheese was all me, lol. They copied it right from youtube description. I was a little excited, and being my second system, it sounded clever at the time. Mind you, when I started to get interested in all this, a year or so ago, there were like 4 dudes to talk to about it. Edit: 3 dudes & petflora. Atomizer, petflo, bob smith & his 90 site pvc coliseum (not suited for hpa btw) & deximus. The latter of the two, have disappeared. Bob smith posted a link to cavadge's thread before he left (very nice), and TF was around, but doesn't seem to chime in unless he feels like you're well on your way. It was alot harder to come about info then, for sure. Since the dawn of this thread, there have been so many people getting on board with hpa, it's crazy. This is a good thing. I really want to see hpa become accepted among the grow community as a legit style of growing, that when done properly, can out-perform the best DWC/F&D/NFT system out there. It may seem shallow, but after all the shit I've gotten from people saying I'm wasting my time with these complications, I really want to set the record straight, and prove that there is no better/more efficient way of growing than this. I ramble. Anyway, my cuttings should be able to go into my rig in a week or so. It's about time!
Mech said he'd post his weight and pics here when he was done harvesting, but if you can't wait you can go to GCthe wait is killing me.... i need porn! (you know what i like)
I thought Dole moved the last of their plantations to the Philippines a while ago. (and I hate youI can see the dole pineapple plantations across the water on the island of Molokai out my window...
Afternoon update- No difference in temps so far (pod is reading 83f), although the cooling solution was 38 degrees... I decided to add a styrofoam cooler with about 20 feet of JG tubing coiled up inside so it has plenty of time to get cold. I am slightly worried this is too much line and I will suffer some nute drag- time to look back in Cav's thread and study reynold's numbers...Hopefully in a couple hours I will notice something... I have an eerie feeling my issues are all about needing pod insulation... I still think the best way was my original idea to inject polyurethane spray foam in between the walls of my dual walled rootchamber, unfortunately now it's gonna be tough since it's all put together and running. I still also would have to ponder the outgassing of toxic chemicals I read about for that stuff- which is why I scrapped the idea in the first place and decided to test and see how it would work without it...
Sorry to hear about the net pot ordeal, hopefully everything is ok.
I don't know how the soil temps are for you but perhaps it's readable to run 20' of line underground and use the soil temps to cool it for you. I know hear in the northeast the soil stays 50 degrees several feet down year around.
Got some more goodies in today, which I think is half the fun.![]()
