u can't get 1 system that fires hps and mh at hd..but u can buy 1 of each..
well im on a 70 dollar budget for lights.u can't get 1 system that fires hps and mh at hd..but u can buy 1 of each..
before i bought my 600watt system i was running a few hd hps lights..i got a 70watt there it was 70$ with the bulb
SH Hydroponics > Dual Spectrum High Output Fluorescent Lighting Kit would this be good for 2 mini plants???dude u can get like 10 cfl's for the price of 1 hps at hd..ur prob better off going with cfl's since ur on a budget
mrgreenthumb,
That price is outragous. Go to home depo or lowes or something, those 'reflectors' that they are selling are like $4 or something, super cheap shop light stuff. As far as the bulbs go, just get a cool white and a soft white bulb (two total), that's just about the same thing. Each one will cost like $5 or something. Total, for what they are selling, you can get at home depo for less than half the cost.
alright thanks man!!!!just go to home depot and buy 2 of those reflectors..and u can buy a 1 to 2 light socket "it screws into the main socket on the reflector and give u 2" buy 2 of them and "4" cfls
get 2 red and 2 blue..get the 40 watt blubs there like 6$ each!
damn thanks alott!no ballast man..there just reg. lights that screw into any household socket!
yea i grown one before but it was in my windowsill, it never got a over a foot, i never used nutes and i got about 8grams of dry bud.u'll be fine with 4 cfl's.its not gunna be to potent but its a grow experience for u!..but im telling u this rite now...once u start,u'll never wanna stop..just get a job if u dont already have one..and just save up some $ invest into some good lighting, venting, and nutes..and u'll be growing top of the line buds! good luck bro! post some pics once u get ur set up going!
If HD still has the 100watt HPS security light for $34.50 then snag it. It puts out 10,000 lumens and will grow dense buds on a single plant. Thats probably cheaper than buying all those CFL's equivalent in lumens. It will be hotter though, but not unmanageable. I can't believe this thread is still going.well im on a 70 dollar budget for lights.
i want to grow 2 small plants( 1-1 1/2 ft.)
and i want a light system that will do the job with wonderful results.
ANY IDEAS ANY1?
would 80w be enough? whats the cheapest light setup i can possibly get for two plants?
thanks for the reply
