i have my plants 3 inchs away from a 20 watt cfl. in a box with a fan sucking out and a vent hole at the top. they are just planted. ill post a pic, the cups are stacked ontop of other cups as well. will this be fine for now untill i can get 3 60 watts? they were just planted today
ill be making a computer case for them soon

I had mine under a 36w t8 when i started because I was scared of burning them, all it did was stretch them and make them fall over from weakness.
I put in a 130W cfl and a little fan blowing on them and it made all the difference.
Try get them as close to that little cfl as possible.
Maybe consider going on ebay and getting a much bigger cfl or some t5s.
Have you got an area to move them into after a few weeks? computer case will be too small for anything but seedlings imo.

Big doesnt really matter as much as dense. the less light you have the lighter and airy your buds will be. more lumes equals more THICK buds

Also get rid of the tinfoil...you'd be better without or with something as simple as white computer paper taped to the sides of the box. Tinfoil is one of the worst reflective surfaces because it reflects the light in odd, obtrusive angles and keeps the plants from getting all the light that they could. White is one of the most reflective colors.

less light = taller stretchy plants/ more light = shorter dense plants

you need to get some big clfs in there or a small 75-150 hps at least, in my opinion

vent hole should be at bottom and fan at top:peace:

How many plants you gonna put in there does not look like much room. You better hurry up and get more light than 20 watts. Go to home depot or walmart and get some more bulbs. You should check out

Sorry OP, but am I interpreting this correctly; my computer case is only 45cm tall, once you take the light and pot into account, your plant can only be like 25cm tall at best?
even 12/12 from seed, most plants will outgrow that won't they? And with no veg time you cant keep topping it, and if you did the plant would still get so wide you couldn't keep 3 in one case?
What yields do people get from this sort of grow? Is it worth taking care of the plants for 2-3 months for this yield?

it is a struggle growing limited
but scrog will or lst would work but still a bitch in that small space

well any screen with about 1-2" holes ...like chicken wire or anything like that...install about 4" above pots and when they grow past the top of screen just tie them down to the screen, that way all the tops will all be the same height( excellent for cab/and small spaces). Another advantage of a screen too is that there is minimal stretching up towards light... I didn't have to move my light up even an inch. ;)

ok another question for ya mate. i planted them 30 hours ago and they havent broke soil yet. i dnt think they will for atleast another day. i watered the soild before planting. should i water the soil again or wait for them to break through first?

scrog not scorg . youre wasting your time. have fun and learn from this grow. when those plants are finished you are going to kick yourself and wish that you grew a decent crop.
