I have 8 nice lady's (Hopefully) Got feminized seeds so guessing so lol.

I have a 600w bulb with a digital Ballast that can change wattage to 250,400,600 or 650.

Please Help !!

How much space do you have , how tall do you want them , have you decided what method to use ??
The larger pots will require more veg time imo...

Ok , well seedlings can treble in height when switched to flower as they will not switch straight away , there are ways of controlling width and height of your plants depending on space and enviroment , also i like your ballast , where did you buy this ?? , have you decided what wattage you are going to use for flowering on your switchable ballast ? what wattage bulbs do you have ?? i have never seen a 650w hid bulb ? so does the ballast in 650w position use the 600 w bulb ?
The amount you will yeild per plant depends on the plants genetics , strain , the condition you grow them in etc , what strain are the seeds ?

I Bought the ballast from my local grow shop. £50.

And yes its a 600w HPS Bulb but the ballast controls the wattage, pretty impresive stuff.

I Would Ideally want to use 400w to flower.

Seeds are~: White Widow and big bud

The Ballast controls the wattage of the Bulb ?? I think this is incorrect , and if correct , using a 600w bulb controlled by a Ballst at 250w or 400 w will result in you using more power than needed , that bulb will still burn 600w worth of electric in the 250w switch position , if this is wrong , and i think not someone please add or correct me ,

can you tell me the strain please and why you are deciding to use 400w for flower and not 600w , as you have the space and will yeild more(normally)...

Yeah your right with the 600w power, it will use this. I have a battle to keep temp down on 600w, so thinking 400w for less heat.

Basically the ballast can turn to 50% etc so its like a dimmer switch if you like.

Strain is White Widow and Big Bud

Ah right , well my advice is to keep it on 600w , this way you will get all the light you are paying for and your plants will like it more , the heat difference using it on 400w will not be alot lower , are you using any kind of fans in your tent , and is there any fresh air intake ?
I have never grown Big Bud but i know its a big yeilder but not the highest quality Bud , but commericialy a great plant , the flowers will get heavy and need support , White widow , i grow myself , a plant that is a foot tall , will finish up 4ft tall , this is pretty much gospel for this strain , MJ plants are mainly Sativa/Indica , research this its an interesting learn , WW leans toward sativa , quality end result, and good yeild but will need some care , your temps ideally need to be between 21 - 26* Its awesome when you first start out , but you have alot of research to do , ask for help anytime , this site is cool if you read through the B.S , good luck man :)

Oh Right thank you :)

I have a small clip fan and a big 14" Fan but as far as air intake i only have a carbon filter and extractor fan etc.

Plant that is on the picture is also 8-9 Inch tall?

let them go to 15" inch tall , before you flick (just what i would do),
Are you using the extractor fan ?
look up (passive fresh air intake) it's very simple to do , and will bring your temps down , Aim your clip on fan directly at your bulb to disperse the heat , use the bigger fan for the passive intake , try to make sure some fresh air is coming into the room via a window etc(becareful of light leakage)....

If you have that much room, top those ladies just above the 2nd true node (UB,s technique)) to get 4 mains..... you will get 2 zips+ easy....They look healthy....

You should see them showing new growth within 24 hrs..... Since your topping just above the 2nd node, I would recomend vegging them at least 2 weeks......It's well worth it though...

Again it's up to you to decide on eventual height but let them recover for a week at least , WW will reward you for extra veg time , i know its tough , i can tell your itching to flower them and that's cool , and always remember , when your finished you can go again , you learn so so much on your first attempt my friend :)

depends on oyur ballast brand if it draws full power all the time or not. dont run the higher 650 in a 600 bulb. it works but shrtens the life.

Those plants don't look 14 days from seed. I'm running a strain similar to yours. How many days did you subtract it for seedling.
