woke the babies up this morning with a lil morning view. I swear they are noticeably more peppy after some tunes! let them get real dry and the canopies were starting to tell me, so fat water yesterday afternoon. still no nutes or anything. i'm lettin the roots regulate their new environment and i'm lovin this soil premix 'cause these girls are lovin life.

the leaves are healing from being trimmed in the cloning process and new growth in almost every node to include complete leaves in 3 of 4 plants. the color looks even but a tad on the pale side. i'm going to give a baby dose of that bat shit when they dry out again and see how much they dig that organic nitrogen :)

so the main issue i'm having is keeping a stable heat and humidity in the room. i have to keep the photo cycle during the day and rest at night because i have a kid and woman in the house who come into the office from time to time and it is not light sealed. but during the hottest hours of the day, temp hangs out around 90 F and RH at around 30-35%. I think i got lucky that the strain does not seem too stressed out about it. during rest, temp sticks to around 70F and RH 45-50% because I have my exhaust on the same time schedule as light. that is with all my water containers open in the room and a wash cloth i soak in cool water. I've also left the window to the room open which seems to help circulate air that is 2 or 3 degrees cooler.

also, i'm going to check out some coolers that will help both the temp and humidity issues two birds one stone. hopefully something under a hundred bucks to resolve the issue. if not, i will do my winter dance to ensure the weed gods bring the natural temperature to an acceptable level :)

also, the guard dog hard at work

So a little update:

Made a homemade soda bottle yeast co2 dispenser and placed in front of fan, over the babes. hopefully more co2=less heat stress=less me stress :)

Applied an LST to two plants and fucked up on my first try. bent the stock to the point of making a creased angle like a supercrop instead of an easy stress free bend. the second came out well though. these girls are tough. i have faith.

attempted to top one of them, but pretty sure i ended up with a fim... pics to come tomorrow. ladies are getting ready for bed.

getting equipment/ingredients together for a compost tea. seems like it can be very simple, yet very complex. we'll see how it goes. i think this just turned into a complete organic grow.

here's pics of my ghetto co2 dispenser. that's right! in the heartlaaaaaand.... stater brothers. you cali heads know whats up :bigjoint:

Looks like theyre comin around nicely. Cant wait to see the growth in a few weeks. Have you ever heard of sour diesel doing better in higher temp enviornments, like 84-86?

I did actually read that in an article on the strain. The author called it a desert strain cause it is able to withstand higher heats with lower humidity. let me see if i can find it.

finished brewing up a compost tea today. i used a quarter cup of soil bumper crop and one eight bat guano. mixed in a paint strainer bag and applied to 1 gal of water with 2 tsp unsulphered molasses. aerated for about a day til it was nice and foamy :weed:

btw i picked up an air pump and stones from walmart. complete garbage. fuck walmart. i deserved it for betraying myself and shopping there. took that shit back and reminded myself how much i'm against that corporation. got a sweet deal on a pump with four valves with hose and air stones included for like 20 bucks. worked great applied to 5 gal paint bucket with tea bag suspended on a stick with fishing line. lol guess i do have some redneck in me.

Picked up some 5 gallon bag pots and they had plenty of rootball for me so threw 'em in. really liking the progress. i'm way excited :-)

so, gave up the hps for it was in desperate need to flower another project. got a 4 ft t5 instead with the two 100w cfl's. i'm happy for now. i'll just have to figure something out before the flip.

the two being lst'd are responding beautifully. gave them a nice bend lastnight, and already reached up and around like nothing. lovin it. and the last pic is of the topping which worked surprisingly well. i attempted a fim at one of the new stocks to experiment and see how it all works.

all the girls are showin me their sexy little pistols. i've heard the strain easily triples in height during flower, so i plan to flip when the o' natural girl gets around 15". at the rate their going, i'm guessing another couple weeks. wish me luck!
