Bleaching is murder for ANYONE'S hair...

I used to bleach it and dye bright red streaks over the top. In my proffesional photos you can probably still see the remnants of orange that resulted when the red washed out 0_o

Try dying your hair with henna. It's a little messy,
But it will repair your hair, and as it is further exposed to air and you re-dye, the color becomes more intense.
I can't really recommend how to get your hair the blonde you want because it will just involve more Damage...

I think Garnier do a range of 'nourishing' hair colors. Nutrisse or something?

Good luck hun, because I'm a big fan of your hair x

bleaching hair has such a bad rep it doesnt murder anyones hair, common misconception of hairdying. the n"nourishing:" hair dyes are just all talk and a marketing scam they dont nourish anymore then anything else out there

First and foremost urca, when you did the pink what brand was it? second what brand did you use to dye the hair?

Hydrogen Peroxide dissolves hair. I don't know if newer 'bleaching' hair dyes are any gentler or use something different but I did a whole chemistry project on it and took samples of people's hair.

A friend did an art project on the standard of women's beauty and tried to make a statement. Put people's hair in peroxide and some of those samples dissolved completely 0_o

All my friends who dye blonde have fried, split, dry hair.

yeah, it does make my hair feel like straw for a few weeks, but then it gets all shiny and soft after like a month, pretty effect

the reason you see blonde hair or lightly colored hair as split ,fried , or dried is an illusion to the eyes, if you took two people witht he same amount of hair damage but one was dark and one had light hair the one with light hair would seem to have more damaged hair, it is because the light absorbes into lighter hair, and the dark hair reflects light making it "seem" healthier when it fact their both damaged. Hydrogen peroxide is quite different then bleach for hair dyes.

anyways urca, what youve got going on is that the saturation didnt take effect, first and foremost I hightly recommend waiting a week before dying it again and use in a leave in conditioner every night or put conditioner in your hair every evening for 30 mins then wash it out.
Then go to a beauty supply store and buy 20 volumizer mix and delevoper (should be enough to do what you want it will be a bottle of creamy liquid and a package of powder)
and it should work, the 20 volumizer should be enough to take out all the pink pigments and also not damage the hair any futher.

I dyed my hair black from my natural blonde and I hated being around my family because they are all blonde, in public it looks like my mom cheated or something. But it did look less damaged and more soft
