Smell With Small Grow

Hey im growing 2 plants currently in a stealthy computer case ive put together. I have 2 CFL's running=200 watts, and the plants are looking healthy. i am autoflowering them due to the space restrictions. I am curious ho bad it will smell one they start flowering? it is two females in a sealed case. Will it be really bad?? thanks for the help

The smell shouldn't be too bad at all with just 2 plants. Just make sure you have ventallation and all will be good.

is it worth it to make a carbon filter?? i will also be able to flush for about 3 hours a day. would this help to eliminate smell??

and what the hell does flushing have to do with anything????

Umm the guy is new and asking simple questions...no need to rude.

Build a carbon filter if your worried. Flushing your plants doesn't take away smell...it's meant to leech your soil of all unwanted salt build up that could stop your plant from taking up the proper nutes it needs.

by flushing i mean giving my indoor plants exposure to outside air. hense flushing the smelly air out of the house. does this work? btw i dont really understand the freedom comment.

okay you're right....i just felt they set themselves up for it! i couldnt resist!!!! hahaha only a joke


as far as flushing the air, no the odorous air will still need to be treated/neutralized

with a small operation like that, you could use some odor blocker ona gel shit.... or various fresh makers and shit....

i've seen a really small carbon filter that i would use for pc case...hold on let me see if i can find it!!!!!

Sorry to be blunt...just hate to see that happen to new people...doesn't give this web-site a good name then.

You do however have some good ideas for him to use...i would try those things first, then move up to a small carbon sock or something similar if you think the smell is still too much.

Invest in a carbon filter, i had two plants and it reeked my apt, i didn't care, but the women sure as hell did.

I think of it as an air freshener myself... Just wish everyone thought that way. I only have one plant right now. I swear that behind three doors, when I walk into the house I can smell it. However, I have multiple air fresheners throughout the house to hide the smell.

and i hate when its massives amounts of info on this site but yet new people (no offense zacy15) who won't do their homework & research. they just start a thread taking the easy way out expecting someone to give them the answer. i thought you appreciate stuff more when you work for it?

its tons of info on this site almost like a free encyclopedia.....

yea i already have activated carbon i just cant figure out how to make it into a filter. also are there sertain air fresheners like Febrese etc. that are more effective at actually getting rid of the odor rather than covering it up??

I never said you didn't. i mearly said that i don't like to see new people get treated that way...who cares about what they ask...it's why were all here...to answer any and all questions...even if there stupid ones to us experienced growers. We try to maintain a good positive attitude on this web-site. If you see a question that you think is stupid...just avoid the post altogether...that way it doesn't upset or make the person feel stupid. I have answered MANY a questions that can be easily found under a search...but alot of times they cant fnd what there looking for...and a little advice from us is all they seek.
