here are the new coop pics, it got mostly finished today we still have some work to do but if it stays over 55ish tonight i will put them in tomarrow, once they rae in it will stay about 10 warmer than that. I like it so much i think this may be my bantam coop and we will build a larger coop for the bigger chickens. Once we get better weather this will just pick up and move wherever we want it my hubby did a good job we will also put in a window eventualy cant wait for spring!!!!

they spent their first night outside last night it was about 64 in the coop at 3am, i do have two heat lamps going. They seemed fine and i put a baby monitor put in the coop so i can hear whats going on. I think they like the new space and my house is now getting an overhall i was up dusting till 3 this mornin and all i gat done was the kitchen, i should take pics of the dust but i wont its gross. Love them but glad they like it in the new coop

hey kaya...I was at the farm co-op yesterday to get some fence post and stopped to look at the chicks...
they have a breed called ameraucana that lays blue eggs...I learned that you can tell what color their eggs will be by the color of teir ear lobes...white ear lobes, white eggs, red ear lobes, brown eggs etc....you learn something new every day...
