Just to throw my tuppence worth in.
I run my butane into a pyrex dish with a little warm water in the bottom. Sounds mad, I know, but the oil floats on top of the water. I then pick this up with the sharp side of a utility knife blade by simply running the blade around the surface, scraping it onto a second blade, then blowing off excess water once cool. Saves trying to scrape it off the bottom of a dish.
Sounds crazy until you try it!

Not to say anything stupid, because I've yet to even do this, but has anyone else tried putting water in dish and scooping oil off water?

you could freeze it, then let it thaw slightly and peel it right off. ;)

making it faster doesn't offer you any more yield. ;)

i'm just saying, ... "there is more then one right way to do it". :eyesmoke:
Yes there is more than one right way. Which is why I said, 'yes you can dry it too..' ;)

I never said anything about a better yield.. a vac setup won't give me more but it will definitly put money in my hands faster.. I know a few fellas with like 4oz of herb layin around doing nothing.. and they haven't even in invested a tube yet..

I will tell them, "provide the herb.. and 120 bucks, (4cans butane included in price), ill run your qp into vac purged oil with a mechanical vac pump and you'll have pure, clean oil by tonight."

My current problem is the inablity to run everything I have.. which is why I need more tubes too!

So can anyone tell me which pump is a better deal? Both are $150

6cfm 75micron

Or 3cfm 25micron

Id love some input before I spend the money. I really hate wasting money.

I have it in the shade out of direct light, and also so the surface underneath doesn't cook it like an oven. Right now its sitting at about 98 degrees

so can I "cook" this stuff under the sun outside, or will that fuck it up?
Didn't feel like multi quoting but a few people had it right

sunlight will degrade thc... so you dont want to get it a sun tan... you should be doing good with it outside, just make sure its covered with some screen or something so it doesn't get yard shit in the oil when your outside...

When I have a pool of butane in my pan, I submerge the pan into another pan filled with hot hot tap water... this will quickly reduce the butane level down to a small film within minutes...

then just let it dry if you have no other plans to purge, as FDD does... maybe leave it outside in the heat for an hour and a half (with a screen) then take it inside and put it somewhere cool and dry to finish drying for a week or two...

My next batch was sitting out in the shade for about 3 hours after the warm water. Still havn't scraped it. I'm not sure with this batch if I want to vacuum purge or do what fdd does and just leave it flat across the dish until it gets crispy. I might purge it in a couple days and see what happens. These pictures were from a QP. And those bubbles have all been popped

I'm going to guess nuggets. or half and half... like real good trim :)

i get like 5g from an oz... so he'd be looking at 20g... and idk but that pan doesn't look like 20 g... maybe like 10-15
