This thread isn't his thread but I wasnt really referring to this thread anyways.
i learned how to do that back when i was 15.
i grew up on a commercial salmon boat. when the weather was too rough to go out we would go surf fishing.

Finger mullet are awesome bait fish for surf fishing. Done my fair share of surf fishing.
My teen age years were spent growing up in South Fl. I can still pancake one over a bridge railing !

I love casting the mangroves for Snook & Tarpon.
Too many people down there now days though.

I was surf fishing in NC(wasn't catching shit). Commercial fishermen pulled their net in. 1st thing they have to do is throw back all the flounder and puppy drum. He had two 25 to 30 lb puppy drums. I was like, the hell you are throwing those back. I stuck a hook in both of their mouths. He said they are all yours. lol

The biggest cat I caught last weekend. My uncle was bass fishing and caught an 8 pounder on a spinner bait, which the cat bent all to pieces, he was so pissed he kicked the fish across the pond. Usually I'd be bass fishin' but fighting 10-12 catfish is fun every once in a while!
