Quick Soil Question/Help

I know what you mean about life effecting your babies.. my purple Kush I just harvested doesnt look near to my standards.. and it got abused from my wife and I dealing with her being 9 months pregnant and then going into labor and having my daughter when the purple was at 8 weeks of flower. I missed watering .. she wilted a few times.. just didnt get what she should have :(
Congratulations with your child! 9 months pregnant is not the most fun period of time... But hey, life happens eh?

My plants still come first!lol! Peace

Anyone have an idea for boosting humidity? It refuses to stay above 36% unless I spray water into the air randomly. And that's annoying... It would be really nice to have a device put out humidity and maintain it at a level I control. Ideas?

IMO, dont get one of those cheap ones, i got one of those and it was poorly made, leaked on my carpet, and i constantly had to refill, like 2 times a day. Now, it will run for a hour, and stop working. But on a good note, it did increase my humidity in my cab around 20pct, when it worked.

they sell humidifiers at walmart for like 30 bucks or less
Yeah... I refuse to go to Walmart because they are a part of our economic problems. The high cost of low price... Sooooo not worth it. But I will start looking into it. My little ones are growing and quite well, but they could be better. I am having necrotic spots however I am convinced that it's because of a low humidity. (It hovers around 35% if I don't spray water into the tent)

I dont really shop walmart either .. im a teamster and we try to stay out of those kinda business's .. but it was more of an example.. any home good store would have one normally

Granted, I just want a humidifier unit that I can control how often it operates, when and so on. Arguably, it does me no good to over correct and put too much humidity into the air.

I just measured the little ones and they're ranging from 4.5" to 8" (only one is at 4.5", the average is about 6.5") The sour diesel is the tallest. I'm getting close to flowering them. I also have a spare HPS bulb for the 400W ballast so I'll just start them in the veg tent within the next week.

I may get rid of the smallest one as it is not developing as quickly as I'd like. But then again the last time I grew the smallest one was the frostiest plant... What do you guys think?

Here are the babies. There is still some damage however they're moving right along so I'm not worried about it right now. I have been spraying them with neem oil every couple of days since the 20th. In order to keep the humidity up around 45%-50% I have been spraying water into the air every so often and turning down the fan at night. I sprouted them on the 5th planted them on the 7th and moved them under the 400W on the 19th. Most of that growth has occured after the big light was introduced. I'm moving right along. Whatchya guys think eh?

I think they look A1 grade plants, surely some green lush well grown weed. Think you got a handle on your original problems and learnt a lot. Nice grow dude. Peace

Look good bro.. you see those little edges on the leaf tops.. thats normally a little bit of heat stress.. maybe your light was too close or the room got a little to warm.... its not biggy ... looks like it hardly effected them.... but I figured I would point it out so you can keep an eye on your temps..

On a side note.. look how much more foilage you have compared to those other plants ... A BEAUTIFUL THING :)

Thank you Kingrow and alotaball, I appreciate your continued encouragement. I think you're right the temps are very difficult to control right now. But being in the Pacific Northwest the outside ambient temps will be plummeting soon so it will all work out. Oh yeah, I should mention that they already smell sooooooo good right now... But it's definately temp /humidity causing the issues. I need to get CO2.

I just leave my grow room door open if it gets too hot, the fan at the back vents the air out the door pretty well, i try and aim it just over the tops of my buds but below the lights to take off the heat, temps are plumeting here soon too, time to invest in a portable radiator me thinks.

Isnt Co2 a nightmare to set up and contain properly, certain ppms and stuff like that? I know about Co2 but cant be bothered with it personally, others use it very well but an exspense my small grow dosent need reguardless of the possible 20percent max extra yeild. Peace

When my plants go into flower they stretch for the light, try keep em short if possible, they seem to do a lot of upward growing when flipped to 12/12, that is till the first flowers show then they mainly bush out and dont grow much taller except for the bud growing in height a little. I get about two weeks of upward growth till they show flowers and that is about as tall as they get. Final flowering size should be very dependant on light penetration, fluffy weak buds at the bottom of the plant due to low light can seem like a waste of veg time.

Peace
