Quick Soil Question/Help

lol....I think that's true for most of us.....I know it is for me too....
We can fix this problem... Vote Ron Paul and get rid of an over bearing federal government. I don't understand how people in the 1920s bought those lies... (by the way I am a very political person outside of my cannabis ventures) I found out that most conspiracy theories are true and now I want to kick my grandparents's generation in the balls. That being said I have high hopes for the future because America seems to be waking up. Yaaaaaaay! 'Bout time!

Looks heat water and high nutrient level stress. What makes you think the soil is light in nutes?? leaves look good from top to bottom, why not be happy with these, i would, looks like nutrient levels are just about right, why screw with them for now, soil is good for a few weeks. Peace

Why dont you teach your old buissness partner how to grow and take a percentage of the profits too. Would be the decent thing too do. Peace

I have a PH/Nute meter and that's why I think that... I'm sure it has more to do with heat than anything else. I raised the light a little gave them a light nute/watering so we'll see what happens. I don't care about these so much because they are from a hermie plant. I'm almost tempted to wipe it all and sanitize EVERYTHING to kill off bugs/mold. I think I'll flower these in a week or two. By then the good genetics should have shown up.

Plants that show a slight herm at the end of flowering are not necessarialy bad, i have yet to see a true hermie plant. Dont fertilize them any more for the time being, wait to see what the effects of the ferts you just gave them are in like a week or so. Everything seems to worry you a lot, just let them grow would be my best suggestion. Peace

The first grow was relitavely stress free, but this time... considering I started with garbage... As I said before I have a psychotic level of OCD on certain issues. But I'll calm down on the little ones. I'm not going to do anything else to them for at least 4 days I imagine. (okay, except the scheduled neem spraying) I think this is a case of my life induced stress sloshing into my garden. Life has been kicking me in the balls A LOT over the past year.

I see no reason for the days stresses to be carried into your garden, generally i veiw my indoor garden as a place of tranquillity and harmony where i can sit and ponder. I feel i have a personal relationship with my plants, there is no room for compulsiveness or anger, i have to live with them not them live with me unfortunatly. I am just a gardener, no matter how big or small my plants have little time to bother with me when there busy growing. Mother nature will never work like you want it to, who knows what genetics those little seedlings hold. I think you need to learn patience in order to become a gardener but the odds are obviously stacked against you. Stop killing plants and learn to let live, with patience and time all will be uncovered. Peace

Patience is my biggest problem. Probably one of the most impatient people on the planet. That being said I try to stay away from the garden if im in a bad mood. It's just one of those days. and i'm out of smoke at the moment.

So I've been looking around and I'm interested in a simple hydro set up. Can anyone suggest a reliable/simple/relitavely inexpensive hydro set up to implement? Thanks. Just playing with some ideas for the future.

Also, I was not in a good place because it was 8pm and I hadn't eaten anything yet... That's fixed and much less grumpy.

I also found a way to kill time... besides videogames. Sit over the little ones and pinch up the little bugs and dip them into ice water. Mite hunting. Could be a new national pastime?

Now I am running into high PH problems with the little ones. The next time I do soil I will have to be more careful. And the bugs on them are baaad. I'll try to save em, if I can't I'll just have to learn from the mistakes and do a better job in the future.

Everyone says pH problems in soil, rarely is this the case, reading runoff assures us of how much the plant is eating and the total salts present in the soil medium, rarely dose it tell us our soil is acidic. I really doubt small plants in fresh soil would be having pH problems. Ph is one big myth to me and i use to think i had pH problems when in fact it wasn't. Dont believe the hype about pH and soil. Peace

Good luck.. hate to say I told ya so :(..

If you need help ask away...

A good cheap intro to hydro is dwc.. You can setup 2 bubble buckets for about 30 bucks.. then you grow big girls in them.. the growth rate is awesome .. and its pretty easy introduction into hydro :)

First thing is first... I need a good ppm/ph meter...
I'll post some pictures a little later on so you can see how they're doin'. Growth has been good if I'm honest, but all of the leaves seem to be starting to curl upwards. Maybe I'm seeing a problem that doesn't really exist?

Runoff is a tricky thing to measure with pH and ppm meter, they are good for dosing and measuring pH and ppm before watering the plant. When you get them hit me up on this thread and i'll go through the basics of soil pH and ferts.

As for leaves curling upwards post some pics. Peace

Aight... So I checked the temp/humidity and I think humidity was actually the problem because it was at 35% when I pulled these out of the tent to photograph. Sprayed some water just in the air above the plants when I put them back.

I would also like to state that I was probably over reacting. After I checked them I am relatively happy with them all things considered. I think I will be flowering these pretty soon. I want to get the veg tent sanitized hardcore before the seeds show up.

see if you make growing weed hard it will be but keep it simple and you realise you get great plants. Looks good dude, bet they took a lot of patience to get to that stage. Peace

Actually, if I'm honest these ones have been pretty much going on their own. Again, life has been EXTREMELY stressful as of late and it simply carried into my babies. It happens, the trick is to be able to recognize it. That snowcap is huge since I put it under the new light. I'm very happy with the stems as well. They are almost as thick as the crap I got. That being said, update on the bamboo I haven't chucked them yet. They actually have rebounded quite well (all things considering) The new growth is doing quite well and they're all budding quite well. So we will see what happens. They just needed some time to adapt to their new environment. I feel like I'm now starting to get into the rythm again.

I missed watering .. she wilted a few times.. just didnt get what she should have :(
