so what would you say is a realistic cost to start lets say a 3 pound a month grow///+space ///and what would the cost to keep it going be?
3 pounds a month.
let's suppose a QP per plant, so 12 plants a month, 24 plants per 2 month cycle.
4 thousand watt lights, so 6 plants per thousand watter. throw in another two thousand watts to veg.
5-7 gallon buckets per plant to flower, 3 gallons to veg.
12 bucks per bag of soil fills five 3 gallon pots, and two 7 gallon pots. so we need $60 of soil to veg, $150 or so to flower.
let's round off nutes to $125 or so for the cycle.
4k watts for 12 hours a day at $0.10 per KWH leads to $4.80 a day to flower, about $300 per 2 month cycle to flower. half the watts at 24 hours to veg equals the same. so another $300, $600 total.
containers, lights, and ventilation are one time expenses. 50 containers at about $6 a container is another $300. growing legally, all you need is a fan or two to push air around nd one to extract it. let's just say $250. six lights, each one thousand watts, is about $1500 to get.
so we are up to $3,000 for the first harvest, $1,000 or so for each harvest after that.
let's throw in another $1,000 for startup costs (hardware, etc) and $200 for each harvest after that (shit happens).
good starting point?
