I don't know why more people don't do this, but you can either open the closet door alittle and put in a piece of wood with the and the intake on it. If you attach it to the jamb side of the door you would be able to still open and close the door. Place a strip of weather stripping down the edge of you setup to make a good seal and then let the negative pressure pull the door shut into it. I come from a background in construction from framing to finish work. I guess I always think this stuff should be easier than it is for some people. Perhaps if I ever get some extra time I could do a DIY for it, one for sliding doors and one for swinging door.yea i have to cut a hole for intake to get cool air in.but im trying to figure out how to keep light from bleeding out of the closet cause i sleep in the room also.i heard cheesecloth will work but i dont see how white cloth could help lol
If you look at the door jamb it will have a stop that the door hits against when closed. Another option would be to, I would go with two seperate peices for ease, cut large peices of plywood and attach them to this stop on the inside of the jamb. This would allow you to close the door completely and it not show your grow space in an emergency, but then allows you to cut a hole for a door and one for you exhaust and intake. You could even attach ducting by attaching a falange to the false door that allows you to remove the piece of duct work in an emergency so that you can close the door.
Just some ideas I had after reading multiple threads with the same situation.
