I'm just loving scrogging atm, still getting the 12/12 flip timing sorted out, but yours are looking pretty darn tasty Forgive my sheer laziness, what've ya got going there?

The 12/12 should be as simple as setting the timer.
I have 2 Extrema from seed and 1 El Monstre clone. Not sure what 4tatude has going but it looks nice.

Nah, what i mean by that is flipping it to 12/12 at the right point so tha the stretch gives you the optimum amount of matter above the screen. Normally i leave it too long and it grows so big there's no need for a screen, current grow i think i've just about hit the nail, but the grow following that was flipped to 12/12 probably a week too early and had to remove the scrog net, it lost it's purpose.

I gotcha. On my last grow I put my screen in during veg.
Filled the screen til they were all sticking above about 3 inches then flipped to 12/12.
Had some nice sized 12-18 inch budz. Doing it a little different this time tho.
Been having root growth issues, so I don't have the screen installed.
LST is working fine for now til I get the roots right again. Then the screen goes back in.

Aye, all seems strain dependent, my girl doesn't throw out those huge tall buds, i have to flip just as they near the net, which is only about 12 inches above the rockwool. Enough stems though and i get some great results, more often than not i'm a lazy git and i harm my potential yields, oh well, still get's me enough to smoke, that is what my game is all about after all

Normally i just supercrop my plants, but just yesterday i got one of my tote lids and drilled holes all around the edge, got a little cheese clone tied down like a mofo, the gardening wire is probably heavier than the limbs who cares though, gonna spread that bitch out

Sounds good!! Everyone has their own styles and methods. Whatever works for ya.
I'm using fishing line and looping it around the stem and taping it to my lid.
Making them short and wide. Simple and easy.
I'm ready for my screen tho. Just can't seem to keep my roots healthy and strong this grow.
Patience is the key!! Keep up the good work and keep it coming..

Sorry to hear your still having root issues Blu. Hope you can take care of it quick. So it's day 33 and I've held off on flowering a few because I had to move the cabinet to let a friend move in. And the heat in the flowering room was too much. I did a test run and it was 90F at 400W and about 88F at 250W. I gutted a box fan and cut an inlet hole in the back. I also gutted my light so I could shut the door without the back panel pushing out.

The ladies are looking and smelling sweet already...that fresh green smell. Blue Chz is the largest so far. I'm very happy with the WR, it has tons of side shoots already. I topped all of them today to promote growth at the bottom. I'll most likey move the SLH and Blue Chz to flower on Saturday (week 5) and then the WR on week 6. Not sure if I'm going to keep Exodus Chz and Moby Dick in veg or flower them with the CFLs and make a different clone/veg setup. I should of waited before planting all 6 bean, 3- 5 weeks ago, then the other 3 once they were a few weeks into flowering. Oh well, maybe leave them in veg and have monster plants. (13 week veg?)

This is for any of you that are not understanding how the Scrog works.
Pull the stem under and push up thru the furthest hole. Repeat process
You do not want to weave the stem thru the screen. Simply pull and push from under.
This will result in the plant spreading like wild fire and taking over the screen.
Training the plant to the screen as opposed to using the screen merely for support.
Merely supporting the plant with the screen is not considered a Scrog.

Sweet diagram Blu I havent really been posting in here lately since our 1st shot at growing is just using the screen for support...like you said...not a real scrog. I think for the most part it was just paranoia and lack of know-how to be able to train em. Ah well...next round should be sweet redemption lulz Today is Day 54 of Flower for the ladiez so another week or so should be choppin we hope Alwayz a pleasure sir and I hope your root issues subside soon. Like you said....patience is really the hardest part of growing once they've established themselves. Happy growing mane!

My roots seem to be doing better. They come and go. I think I'm gonna try some DM Zone next round as I see awesome results from others that use it.

I agree man. I hear pros/cons to beneficials, but I would think if you read the friggin directions it wouldnt be rocket science lulz. Some swear it hurts yur plants and other live by it. I need to invest in some beneficials one of these days. I'll have to check out that DM Zone sometime

that is a great diagram bluberry, some people like me lol have a hard time understanding untill a visual is provided. that should clear up the fog sourounding scrog ok. in my experience the most important part is knowing the cut your working with. final scrog should have no more than 12in above the screen imo. getting the tuck n pull down to accomplish that is trickey, the timing has to be right. much harder to do with multiple strains unless the stretch is typical across the board. im a big fan of scrog but have access issues as in unable to get to back once established. there might not be giant colas in scrog but the multitude of good buds make up for it imo. for overall harvest weight i dont think it can be beat if done even half right.

This is what has always gotten me.....Where the fuck do all these shoots come from, but with the way you said and pictured it, I understand. It's exactly why LST works, except in a much more controlled environment. Makes sense why the bitch throws out all those shoot now, because you damn near just lay her flat out, so she freaks and makes all of her shoots the same size. I'm about to go look around the house for a screen to put my 1st week girl underneath.....I'll post pictures when I find one. √√ Thanks Blu Lol

I just finished putting Daphney under the screen. I'm still not completely sure I got everything since there is a lot of undergrowth, but I'll check back tomorrow and see. My setup is super ghetto, and will be posting pictures 30 mins at lights off √√√

Your screen is too thick. Those white pipe cleaners are going to block light, and take away from your yield. Try shaving or cutting to burning the fur of the wires.

also it serves no perpose just laying on the plant. it needs to be fixed to a framework so it can be stable and set at the correct heighth so plants can be trained to cover the screen..jmo

LOLrus, I don't think I've ever seen that done. Wait I'm being stupid, those pipe cleaners are obviously there to serve the dual purpose of dusting the leaves.

What the above posts said.. The screen needs to be at a set height and secured to a sturdy frame.
This frame can be made from anything and is fairly easy to do for the average person.
Merely laying the screen on the plants will serve no reasonable purpose.
You want the screen to be tight and secure so that it will be able to support the weight of the big budz that will be growing.

here is an example of a scrog screen at work. notice the frame that supports the wire screen, the heigth from plants that allow access to pull or tuck growth under screen. notice how all growth is kept under the screen while screen is being filled. once your like 80% full flip and train for additional week or 2 to finish out scrog. once its full as you need just let them go on and grow through. the result is a very even canopy that utilizes all available light. little if any light is lost from towering buds shading lesser bud sites resulting in optimum yields per watt.
hope this helps you understand the mechanics behind scrog.

edit i prefer larger holes like 4x4inches, makes it easier to shape scrog without damaging bud sites. with this size screen i can tuck n pull every 2 or 3 days without damaging plants...jmo to each his/her own
