So I went to the community college today to talk to a counselor. I got there at 6:30 so I could be able to make an appointment. There were about 25 people ahead of me. i was one of the last couple people before they started to turn people away. when i got there, she wouldnt make me an appointment, but a drop in slip, which basically meant i had to sit there until they called my name. Finally, after almost 6 hours they called my name, and I got to speak to a counselor. And he got me pumped!!! Helped me select classes : English, Speech, Algebra, Anthropology and Anthropology Lab. I register tomorrow morning. I am fucking pumped

If you go to a 4 year university, it will be more socially active and save you the hassle of class transfers (b/c alot of the time THEY DONT transfer). It may cost a little more, but hey, you only live once.

Depending on your felonies, some schools have programs for people with records. I know at my university they offer programs for felons (depending on the felonies) that even help get them off your record faster.

goodluck, Urca. Stay focused. I am an undergrad as well. Funny enough, in the first semester I ever went through as a smoker I got a 4.0. I only liked to go to language classes high, for the socializing parts. Speech too. Not my bio or mathematics courses though. Have fun, stay on your toes, and keep your future in mind.

yah, my sister an ex gf are both nurses, and both pull over 100k a year no problems.. my sister just did some work at a hospital that she used to work for that moved and just opened up and was making $100/ hr, so there is some killer money to be made in nursing for sure..
my sister has her bachelors, and my ex gf is only an rn, but still makes $500 / day as a home health nurse.. not a bad gig for sure.
