Growing Sativa Under Cfls

i'm no sativa expert - used to grow them years ago, when all the bag seed in the usa was sativa - but those buds look like sativa buds, on the airy side

First of all you have way too small planters for something that might take 6 months to grow.I just finished Nevilles haze and I had some 17 week phenos in it.Its hard to keep a plant healthy for 17 weeks of flower but mine turned out to be fire..What kind of soil is that ?I would transplant those,I know your not supposed to tyransplant a flowerring plant but it cant hurt those.Hers some of my Nevilles haze from Mr.Nice

I had one yield 9 ounces,your yields dont increase the longer they grow,just the potency!!!!Your initail veg is what determines your yield.....

the soil i guess would be custom >< lol you can't get potting soil or soil mix here at least not readily. i mixed the soil my self the ratios aren't perfect but there a little like this , soil ( 1/2 red soil, 1/8 sand, 3/8 sterilized humus)
Fertilizer (1/2 fine rabbit manure, 1/8 kelp meal, 1/8 seed meal, 1/4 ssp{super phosphate}

seems to be working well, no obvious deficiency or burn - as mentioned you may have to consider some larger pots at some point
if you have to transplant, sooner is easier than later

Your ph is probably fucked up bro.Did you put in any dolomite lime,if you did not then thats part of your problem.Ive starting useing dolomite in my outside grows and they make shitty dirt useable.Dolomite lime keeps your ph balanced.Thats what is in ever premaid soil(oceans forest) to keep the ph in check..Its cheaper than hell bro..peace

oh those sharp, daggar leaves! lol Ive grown a couple strains of sativa under CFLs, these seem OK..tho i think you could do well by uppin your amount of lights. i found my sativas did really well in a concentrated environment..humid and tropical. what are your temps? there doesnt seem to be any nute-burn or leaf discoloration so thats a plus..i agree with the others, replant them so they HAVE room to grow!

well i don't have dol lime but i have agricultural lime , al check my ph and re pot soon

Some of the agriculture is dolomite lime.Just read the bag...

they've entered flower so 12 weeks more is a reasonable guess - could be more(sativa's have their price)
on using smaller pots to grow good sized plants, i've had bad luck with that, some seem to have tricks for it
one simple rule is 1 gallon for every foot of height, not precise, but a good starting point

omg 3 months, well there about 2 feet so i guess i need to transplant i wish i could move them outside but there gonna get big like freakin corn, maybe al try and beef up the lighting

you may do a little better time wise, just wanted to prepare you for the more likely outcome
you may not need to get too carried away on pot size, a smaller pot will tend to limit height(and overall growth)
i have good luck with 2 gallon pots giving me 2 1/2 foot high plants
i'd think 5 gallon would be very sufficient, maybe smaller, it's a balancing act

OK transplanted, here goes. first i looked for pots, i found the two small white ones, they came as containers for veg oil so the unit measure is in kg, so i measured with a 500ml jug, and they are about 6.5 liters, thats about 1.55 galls, so i bleached them and cleaned them but they have sun discoloration so they still have some red stains from the soil that was there before, i also found this 4 gall one but it holds so much soil it dwarfed the look of my plant,

and the general length of all plants is 1ft 5 inch

this is the soil mix i din't put any manure cuz i think the soil has to much already with where it was and my plants roots haven't formed a root ball on these containers yet so i could end up over feeding, ( i know that compost looks chunky but when u squeeze it in your hand it crumbles, especially after steaming)

i did not only put lime in the soil i put it in to the root ball by mixing 1 part lime 3 parts water and running it through the old container before pulling out the root ball from it,
the roots aren't fully around so one plants root ball cracked and i think it caused some root shock but nothing to bad, right as i type this it is already looking better
Here are the finished plants there still out side soaking up some sun and air as i make space in the grow box,

btw as i was getting compost i came across something ad like to ask about this worm or what ever it is, there are always so many in my humus does any one know what it is, every one here says its good for the compost but < eeeeKK>
