yo bro looking good. i just update din my grow journal take a look at my bhd. 3ish days old
Awesome man! ur bhd is lookin good. i checked on the girls this afternoon and they have stretched a bit and the leaves got much larger! the leaf span will be wider than the pot in a couple days at this rate.. they are loving 24/0 and have been that way since Sunday at 6pm.. The stunted assassin with broken stem is still super tiny.. i don't think its goin to make it, i may just start my last assassin seed and replace the stunted one with that one.

HIGH QUALITY PICS coming tnite!

Just a quick update.. The assassins and blue himalaya are doing good. I think they are a little bit heat stressed so i moved the lights up a couple of inches further. They are now about 6" total from the tops of the plants.

The pointed edges of some of the leaves are turned up. Color is uniform throughout the entire plant so its not a nute problem.. Did some research and it turns out they are just a little heat stressed. Every plant exhibited these problems and more so on the plants that were closest to the lights.

The assassin w/ broken stem didn't make it.. The leaves curled up and fell off. Root growth had started from where the stem broke but only grew about 1/4" in a few days... That just seemed like there was no point in saving this plant as it'd be horribly stunted it's entire life.

So as of now, I have 2 assassins and 1 blue himalaya all growing great and at practially the same rate.

I also switched the light cycle to 18/6 as i had them on 24/0. I thought they were liking the 24/0 but due the heat stress, I decided it might be best to let them rest a bit.

I still have the indica dominant bagseed seedling and although its small, its appearance is GREAT! and the smell is amazing! I didn't think they started smelling much until closer to flowering but this little bagseed guy smells great.. the auto plants just smell like green plants at this stage.. lol

These pictures are from the 5th so the plants are much bigger now.. I will get pictures up sometime next week...

All of em

NIce grow, Not sure if it's been asked before, but how far are you keeping them away from the cfls? are you adding nutes yet?

ill try to answer this as thoroughly as I can. I'm using 4 x 42 watt cfl's which are positioned vertical. The bottom of the cfl is 6" from the tops of the plants. I have been having trouble getting the right distance as I kept movin the lights up and up but the plants kept showing signs of heat stress. The light now seem to be perfect as the girls stretched a bit and look much much healthier now.

I am using FFOF soil straight and watering with 6.7ish PH distilled water whenever the soil gets dry which is about every 3 days. I will start them very lightly on nutes when either they start showing signs of hunger or when they start showing signs of flowering. Whichever comes first.

Nice work going on there....In my perpetual search for new fav auto strains, Assassin has become one of'em....nice compact plants with that provide some very good herb....
Selectively pollinated an AA last year...now growing several from those acquired seeds....with about 100 seeds left in storage.....They'll provide quite a few rounds. BH is also a fav although I watch it closely so I can catch it at the time it gives up some cerebal high along with it's typical indica body kick.....

hopefully my bhd will get bigger. think its already showing a hair or two at day 13
What do you mean a hair or two? You mean shes showing sex or flowering? All of mine have had the white pistils indicating female for about a week now.. Unless I'm mistaken..

Thanks! I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my grow. Ive been excited abut the assassin for awhile due to its sativa dominance. I also have some super cali haze which is pure satica. Think I'm gonna do that one in a waterfarm and maximize yield. Do you just watch the tricome colors on the bhd or what?

Question....

Are these the female pistils indicating the plants sex? Been seeing these for about a week now. I highlighted them..

what color are the things you highlighted? if green they are petioles not hairs or pistils. looking good
yea, i was loookin at the green petioles but i looked more closely and i see the little white hairs your talking about on all of them..

All the plants all have this little cluster of hairs at the top of the plant directly in the middle.. is this the start of the main cola? i'll post pics later tonight..

The plants are starting to give off a little odor. its not plant-like anymore and the assassin smells almost fruity or like citrus.. can't put my finger on it..

well, the girls were in the dark 5 hours longer than they should have been thanks to a power outtage that lasted all day. :( I'm not sure what kind of effect that will have on them but the younger assassin and the blue himalaya are getting little budsites everywhere with these little clusters of hairs in the middle.. the oldest assassin is slowly starting to show similar bud sites but they are very very small which kinda makes me wonder a bit since it's older and larger, it should be the first to start showing preflowers.. the smell is getting stronger everyday but is still a light and delicious smell.
